Dominoes is one of those places where I wouldn't eat the pizza even if it was FREE. AU Dominoes management should seriously travel overseas and see what the company is doing in other countries..

    • Do you mind shedding some light on "what the company is doing in other countries" to those of us who haven't seen or tried Domino's overseas?

From the dramatic tone of your message, I get that overseas Domino's:
      * is selling quality, Italian-style pizzas,
      * at a fraction of a woodfire pizzeria prices,
      * has table service and salad bar,
      * overall is treating the employes better.

Genuine question here. I've had Domino's pizza in Australia only. I'm down for having it for free or even paying a fiver, occasionally.

      • Thanks for asking what Dominoes has/is doing right overseas.

They are selling QUALITY pizzas to compete with Pizza Hut. Yes, they have table service.
Price wise it’s same if you convert it to $$$.
Hand made Garlic bread with oregano that doesn’t look like a loaf cut in pieces.
AND the clincher, dominoes has cheese burst crust pizza that has melted cheese inside the pizza unlike the shit you get here which is mozerella just in the crust of the pizza.

Delivery is free and if they take more than 30 mins to deliver, you get your order for free.

Do you want to know more?

        • What countries? I know that dining is typically cheap in the USA because they tend to not pay a living wage resulting in people relying on tips but I'm not familiar with Asia or Europe

          • @Diji: By googling "cheese burst crust pizza" I assume that's Singapore and Malaysia. I've never heard of that kind of crust, while "the shit you get here which is mozerella just in the [rim of the] crust of the pizza" is pretty a standard thing across chains and countries. Well, not much competition from PH here in Aus.

Given a proper Italian margherita costs at least $15-20 in Australia, which is probably double the price in Italy, any $5 pizza is acceptable to me.

            • @pizzaguy: I live in a suburb where even an average, pretty bland pizza costs like $15 :/

              • @Diji: Try the below stores and maybe you will agree with me about quality.

Note that there might be other gourmet Italian pizza shops which are local to certain suburbs but below are some stores which are franchises.

                Crust
                Mad toppings
                Pizza inn
                Pedro’s pizza
                Costco
                Pizza Hut

                Thank me later.

@pizzaguy: you not hearing about the cheese burst crust has nothing to do with its existence. The cheese in the rim of the pizza cannot be a standard which is why I said the AU management of Domino’s should visit other nations to see what else can be offered in ANZ.

          • @Diji: Don’t hold me to it but I assume any country which is to the north of Australia and between Japan, Russia and UK. Mainly South East Asian countries.

    • Long weekends in Vic and Tas (make this deal a subject to 10% surcharge too), also Vic and NSW people being out and about; I guess the previous deal from May 2020 might have been during some first lockdowns, which added to its popularity.
