    Great price.
But I'm eyeing the 8/256GB version.

    • I wasn't seeing performance issues using one I got for a client to use for a workflow app, so not sure if the extra rams needed. The camera is the weak link on this but stil does the job.

  • Thanks op. This will be exactly what i need for my razer kishi

  • The total price before coupon: AU$303.37
    Coupon: -AU$94.58
    After coupon: AU$279.06 with AU$7.30

I thought it is going down to $200. Can someone explain it, please?

    • Think you're confusing USD with AUD, according to title should be around 270 AUD

  • +1

Anyone who buys, custom roms & nfc's, please post a little how-to. I'm too fraidy cat I'll get it wrong and i do need nfc

    • +3

There are a few choices for custom ROMs, you can just go with the Xiaomi.eu rom, which is the same as the normal rom for this phone but feels a bit smoother and has some extra features added.

I've installed ArrowOS on mine though and it works pretty well, NFC works fine on both of them as long as you don't root.

Steps are listed on the links I added, it's pretty straightforward these days :) the longest part is downloading the files.

      • How's the camera? An earlier comment suggested only xiaomi.eu uses all the lenses

        • +2

I use Gcam and it can access all the lenses, specifically the one released by Wichaya.

      • you can just go with the Xiaomi.eu(xiaomi.eu) rom, which is the same as the normal rom for this phone but feels a bit smoother and has some extra features added.

what extra features does it have over the stock rom?

        • +2

Click on the link in my comment, scroll down a bit on the first post and they have a list of features :)

      • Thanks for info. Brought one to play with the roms

Will wait for the 11/11 sales

Anyone eyeing 8GB/256GB version -> $321 delivered from HK if you can find another buyer or if you need two phones (Group Buy on Banggood app requires two buyers for this price). If you can't find another buyer or don't need two phones, then the price is $338 (delivered): https://au.banggood.com/POCO-X3-Pro-Global-Version-Snapdrago…

Any idea how long this sale lasts for?

  • -1

Gracious me what a price. The new Redmi 11/Note/Note Pro line just got announced a few days ago and released today afaik so they're trying to get rid of this old stock.

    • Lol Poco has been floating around with these prices for a while now. Different offshoot brand of Xiaomi, Poco is.

Redmi 11 is China release only, not global either which is still a couple of months away.

        https://www.ozbargain.com.au/product/poco-x3-pro

It's literally the lowest it's ever been. You're kind of being a pedantic cringelord right now.

        • Oh look, similar price three months ago: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/636595

Didn't bother to also check the launch price on AliExpress of 290-odd, seven months ago.

Thank you for the link, just proves my point that you actually didn't check the rest of the prices over time, that were listed.

          Lmao at pedantic cringelord. Owned.

          • @adrianhughes1998: What's wrong with you, man?

I reiterate, $266.70 (price i title) is the lowest it has been. Not "290 odd" or "around these prices for months", but quantitatively THE lowest price.

            • @maruuO: Literally the lowest, and now you call it quantitatively. I correctly pointed out that its been floating around with these kinds of prices since the beginning, or at least for a long while.

If you want to trigger your OCD about exact prices, to the dollars and cents, then be my guest.

How debilitating it must be for you to first be proven wrong, then have to live with OCD when it comes to smartphone pricing.

This vs galaxy a52 for software support? I dont upgrade phones often, currently on a galaxy s8.

    • +1

I haven't used either in the last 2 years, but from experience, Samsung are generally better. While Xiaomi say that they have 3 years of support or whatever, bug fixes can take forever.

  • Nice

  • Where is F3 deal? :(

  • Alot of phone for that price. Tempted.

  • +1

Looks like great specs for the price, but I don’t think POCO spent enough on their logo design at fiverr.

  • Charger Type: EU Type, 33W

EU or AU charger from HK warehouse when shipped to AU?

Edit: Assume phones shipped from AU warehouse come with AU charger?

    • +2

I bought a global version 8/256 from the AU warehouse and it came with an EU charger.

      • There are No Xiaomi/Redmi/Poco phones from antwhere with AU charger. Australia is just not that important lol.

        • +1

Strange, given that Chinese and Australian plugs are the same.

          • @peteru: True. I suppose most people are getting the Global Models, maybe they have other plugs.

  • "NFC: Multifunctional NFC, *Availability varies between markets" - from Banggood description

  • is there a 5G version out yet or about to be released, i need a second phone and loving 5G in those few areas that have coverage.

  • Thinking of getting this for a permanent android auto in the car (it sucks up too much battery for my current phone). What do people think of leaving phones in cars permanently ?

    • +1

Battery swelling , and eventual destruction. Thats why good dash cams use capacitors rather than batteries

      • ahh. that nixes that idea.

        • Good dashcams can be had cheaper anyway.

    • Aren't you charging your phone while it's connect to AA?

      • Nope, i got the wireless AA module from Indigogo…..

        • +1

Even so, why not have it charging while driving?

  • Keen for the Redmi for better camera. Don't really care about faster cpu

  • From recent experience, may not be in stock even though showing as such. Waiting on exchanged product from order placed 2 weeks ago and second phone also out of stock even though was confirmed during chat which lasted 90 minutes. Another order 4 weeks ago went without a hitch. Any popular phone may present stock issues. Banggood's stock control sucks.

  • After seeing the reviews, it looks good for a cheap phone. I decided to purchase it on a bit of a whim to upgrade from my old and dying S8. I couldn't justify spending $1k+ on any of the newer flagships and the A72/52 just don't seem worth it for their price point.
I understand this isn't a flagship phone but lets see how it goes.
    Cheers!

    • +2

Honestly can't go too wrong at this price. Only real downside may be the LCD screen, only average camera, and the lack of 5G.

  • If anyone is wondering, the phone is 4G

    • +2

What if you take the vaccine?

      • 4GX?

        • Also known as 4G plus

  • DXO mark gives the camera a rating of 103 which is decent, not great.

However DXO mark also gave my old Xiaomi phone (mi 9 lite) a 110 compared to 102 for the pixel 3. My wife has the pixel 3 and the photos are so far ahead of the mi 9 lite it is really no comparison, so I am not sure DXO mark are reliable about Xiaomi.

  • Better than buying a new pixel 3? Or even a much cheaper 2nd hand pixel 2 xl?

    • Depends on what you are after. Pixel 3 is much smaller, much worse at gaming, but much better with camera. Get free original quality photo back up until 1 Feb 2022.

      • Go for good second hand 3 XL. I did few weeks ago and have not looked back ( also have a Redmi Note 10 which I like too, currently using both with diffent sims ).

I tried to use the coupon and it says:
"This coupon can only be used 200 times."

Is the coupon no longer valid?

  • Coupon no longer valid 😭

    • I just bought one with the coupon. $279

  • @Clear is this price only limited to initial 200 units? That’s the message popping up when applying code 😳

    • Well that looks to be the case, expired! Any away thanks OP.

      • people said its enabled again, try again?

  • +3

Cracking deal. Too bad it's not AMOLED

  • +1

Just got one for the coupon price. Seems the coupon still works

    • Just tried again and managed to snap one up 😁 they must've enabled it again

      Thanks OP

  • Bought one last night, received my shipped notification this afternoon (quicker than i expected), expected arrival 8 December. Looking forward to receiving it :)

    • Coupon is live again so you don't need to worry.

      • Coupon not working again…
But what is with the link above - same phone but shows as US$199 (no coupon) - but when clicking through it changes to US$219

  • anyone knows if this phone has a notification LED for incoming messages, missed calls, etc?

    • +1

It does but some issues it seems

      • thanks mate.

  • Coupon limit expired again!

  • +2

    coupon works again

  • Tempting but doesn't seem like much upgrade over my P30 PRO 256GB with OLED

  • coupon is still working.

  • Coupon exhausted again, hopefully they will renew it

  • And Coupon is working again!

  • Good Deal but more interested in 5G phones ….

    • Checkout Poco F3, there is a 5G version and it has an AMOLED screen. Personally I didn't see the appeal of 5G as I mainly download things on wifi. I'm averaging around 100gb/month wifi usage and only around 8gb a month mobile data according to my phone's usage graphs.

  • coupon is not working anymore :(

    • +1

No not for me either :/
      There goes my impulse buy…

      • hahahah same, i actually wanna some mid end soc instead of this "flagship" to aviod some temp during summer, but seems like the prices are almost same

  • received mine over the weekend and just unboxed today. still tossing up on whether or not to chuck a custom rom on

    • Did the charger come with the Euro plug style? Did they include an AU adaptor?

      • +1

Received mine over the weekend, EU plug, au adapter included
