Same! Did you get the Halo limited edition as well?

      • Managed to pre-order one. Sold my regular xsx last month, now I can only play switch.

        • I am itching for my Halo edition to arrive. I hope there aren't any more delays

Just a heads up OP, its joining Xbox Game Pass Ultimate through EA Play and Xbox Game Pass for PC. Those with the standard Xbox Game Pass subscription will miss out

Sweet, I bought this last week. And as is tradition it now goes on Game Pass Ultimate. Took one for the OzBargain team.

Thank me later while you are putting your relationship to the test in game and IRL.

  • Like A Way Out, It Takes Two is a co-op only game; there is no way to play solo.

    :’(

  • +1

Ah, fuggit! Bought during the last ozb post.

  • is there online co-op?

    • +2

      There is indeed.

  • +4

I always thought this looked like fun but idk anyone else who is really a gamer anymore. :(

  • +2

Bought this a few months back but happy to support the devs who are keeping split screen coop alive, amazing game!

If this is coming to EA Play, wouldn't this mean it is also going to come to PlayStation for EA Play subscribers? I haven't been able to find any news yet.

  • How do you guys find time to play so many games? I was thinking to sub but I don't have time to play so usually just buy physical and play when I have time.

    • +16

We don't but , sub anyway and play never

      • +7

        This is the way.

      • LOL, good to know. I might sub later too then

      • What a perfect role-model customer!

    • +1

I sub to GamePass for a month at a time when there's something I want to play.

      • Thanks, I gave in and sub 1 year as there are couple games I wanted to play. Astria, Nier Automata, Hades, Aragami 2 and even Octopath Traveler (couldn't get this in switch)

  • This is a great addition. Wow

Unpopular opinion but this game was incredibly boring. You don't play or solve puzzles, you just press the predetermined sequence of buttons programmed in the game. I.e. you walk there, press this switch, now you go there press that button.

You could make the argument that all games you do what the developers programmed, but this was particularly linear and lifeless.

      Did you finish it?

    • +1

How far into it did you get? There's some legit gameplay with some genuinely fun and hard boss battles that require dodging bullets hell type projectiles.

I also don't know how you could think it's lifeless when it's bursting with creativity.

      • I got up to.. the snow part I think, beat the wasp queen, can't remember.

What did you find intuitive or creative about the gameplay? Genuinely curious, not hating, I just saw it as another platformer, you get new tools and powers periodically but nothing special.

        • The creativity is with the worlds they created and how you interacted with them. The gameplay mechanics themselves were nothing new.

I'm a seasoned gamer of nearly 4 decades and I enjoy games from Mario Bros to Dark Souls.

This game was a blast to play through with my brother. Is it simple? Yes. But as it changes the formula every level with whatever gameplay mechanic, it keeps it fresh enough and entertaining enough to hold you to the end. A problem with co-op games is one person carrying the other sometimes, and this one has a great solution where both players roles / powers are needed to finish the game. Highly enjoyed it and recommend it.

Confused with the guys description of it as we were throwing nails, hammering, gliding, surfing, flame throwering etc etc etc through many fun hours of content.

but then that's kinda how I saw it. now is the hammer level, and all u do is use the hammer this level. Now it's gliding stage, you don't cycle through the equipment you collect. Each their own I didn't enjoy it and didn't finish it.

GOTY level game. The creativity and variety in this game is only beaten by Nintendo imo.

It's like a 15 hour yet you don't do the same thing for more than like 10 minutes. It's just constant new creative ways to play.

Not to spoil too much but it parodys a few game genres which completely change the perspective, controls and how you play and it lasts for a few minutes and is never used again. The amount of times they add something completely new for such a short time is insane.

Also perfect game to play with someone that doesn't normally play games. As long as one of you is alive, the other just respawns on the spot a few seconds after dying.

  • Amazing news! I was so close to pulling the trigger multiple times, but thankfully life kept getting in the way. Game Pass to the rescue :)

  • +2

I played this through to the end with the wife.
While fun for the most part, I found it ironic that the story-line focused around a couple on the edge of divorce and 'found each-other' through their journey in the game, meanwhile the wife and I were steadily heading towards our own divorce after having to continuously repeat the same challenges when the other wasn't where they needed to be at the right time.

    • Give Overcooked a try next. Make sure you speak to your lawyer first and have the papers ready.

  • +1

Game Pass is getting better and better.

  • So is this game available through this for PC? https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/660680

  • Amazing game, would recommend everyone playing it!

  • +1

Does anyone know what time this is meant to release? Doesn't seem to be available yet.

    • Yeah was looking as well. Maybe US time? Hopefully eastern as opposed to pacific, as the latter is gonna be later tonight.

      • Maybe. Wanted to play with my kid when he got home from school, instead of him taking up my FH5 time tomorrow.

  • It's this couch co-op or is it the kind of co-op where you need 2 Xboxen?

      Old school split screen!
