X85J vs Q70A vs Q95t

I'm looking at buying a 75" TV, either a Sony X85J ($2800) or a Samsung Q70A ($3000). I've recently seen a 2020 model, a samsung GQ95T which I understand was top of the range in its time, for about $3500. Is it worth spending a little bit more to get the Q95T, or going for the cheaper but newer models? I'll use it for watching films, PS5 and general TV.

  • You could've piggy-backed off this recent post

  • I've been happy with the Q80a not a fan on having a TV with Ad's though have to use pihole to stop them on the TV and I had to disconnect it initially to set it up. If I was going to do it over again I'd try to find a TV which does not sell Ad's at all espcally after you have paid full price for one of these…

    • I didn't know about the ad's. +1 for the sony

      • People whinge about Google TV… really it's nothing, it's not like it's giving you Maccas ads or something, it's ads for other streaming apps (could be for movies/shows on apps you have, or on apps you don't have).

Sometimes it suggests something of interest

    • Whats this about ad's? Not he Sony TV's?

  • Get an OLED. I saw my cousin's 75 Inch Samsung 2020 LCD and from the side it looks very very bad in term of colour reproduction and even if you sit dead center you can clearly see blooming artifacts especially with dark scene not to mention the motion is a few league below a good OLED from Sony/Panasonic or even an LG.
