I do find it funny that people are buying the worst Yakuza in the series lol even at that price.

And for those that have never played Yakuza play the the other games first.

I tried out this game on my GPU, and is the game supposed to be 75% lore/cutscenes and 25% gameplay? I swear I was watching a cutscene every 2 minutes and hence stopped playing after I reached that guy punching the locker cutscene (don't want to add more for details for spoilers). Maybe I'm just not used to lore heavy games

This Yakuza was my favourite of the lot. Yes I have played them all.

  • Pity they changed it to a turn based gameplay. Would have been cool to keep it as a beat em up like the others. Gave up after a few fights.

Everyone's opinion will be different, but I really enjoyed the turn-based combat and preferred it to the prior Yakuza games. You might like the Judgement series though, since that continues the traditional action based combat style.

    • I'd recommend trying out Judgement or Lost Judgement if you miss the old style, they perfected the gameplay in both of those games I feel.

  • I love the Yakuza series but I'm about six or so hours into 7 and am wondering if there's anything more to the turn based combat? There doesn't feel like much depth to it and now I found myself just trying to avoid combat altogether as I roam the streets since it has already gotten quite repititive. Love the story and characters but so far I prefer the action based combat of previous games

    • I'm about 2 hours into the game (just around the guy punching the locker cutscene) and is there more to the game after that? What I mean is does the game allow for more gameplay without a cutscene happening every so often? I do understand this game is 'roleplay' like which is something I'm new to, but the game feels a bit slow with frequent cutscenes and I end up getting bored. I suppose this game may not be for me, but I'm trying to understand it a bit more before just giving up on it completely.
