Not a bad deal, though not the greatest price in history. With 8% Cashback with Cashrewards on kitchen products on Amazon, it brings it under $300, which is pretty good.

$296.02 + Delivery (Free with Prime) @ Amazon UK via AU

    • Just be warned getting from the UK - packaging can be a hit and miss. Bought the 24cm and they just threw the Staub box in a giant box with no protection

      • I'll save $30, not like this pot can be damaged easily. If it does end up damaged, simply return it.

      • This goes for all things from the UK. Sometimes they'll just wrap multiple quantities of your product in tape and use the original manufacturers packaging. Books sent with no packing. Their packaging is thinner than elsewhere too, US and AU alike.

This is basically a cast iron casserole dish that you can currently get for $14 from Big W https://www.bigw.com.au/product/cast-iron-round-casserole-di… or regularly on sale at Aldi for around $25.

OK so the quality is sure to be better but 23 times better?

The enamel of the big w pot will disintegrate fairly quickly, potentially ending up in your food. There's also no guarantee as to what they use for their enamel. Staub's will keep for years. That's the main difference, so it depends on your needs.

      • That is true, but enamel isn't harmful like non-stick coating is. It will just look awful

      yes, it's 23 times better.

        Love mine.

Have had cheaper ones. Maybe not 23 times better but damn close.

I paid only $268 delivered via Amazon UK earlier this year.

    • Staub is my favourite cookware
I've used ours constantly for 5 years and they still look, feel and cook as brand new.

      Cooks' food amazingly.

    • agreed - its cooks great, the thermal conductivity is 2300% better - its the closest step we have to perpetual motion, Jesus himself was in the engineering of this product. Would buy again.

    • It is 23.15 times better, in fact.

  • thanks OP. bought the 28cm grenadine colour for $338, purely because it looks pretty and with a lifetime warranty ill be looking at it for over a decare.

Be careful of this. I returned TWO from the same seller of the 28cm Chistera which was $300~ AUD. Thought the first was just a fluke so tried a second, same. Had a bunch of imperfections. I believe these are factory seconds because of this. I had a bunch of pits and holes in the enamel on both I received way outside of what should be tolerable from Staub (my cocotte I bought here in Australia is perfect).

    • To clarify though, when you get a good Staub, they are awesome.

  • I bought the 23cm Kitchenaid cast iron casserole from Victoria’s Basement for $99 recently. It’s quite good, probably close to the Staub. They also have a 25 cm size for $125.
