Because sometimes even 97%-popular deals turn out to be blindly +ed while not really obtainable, to the masses at least. So you see a deal with more than 1-2 negs and you devote and lose time on sorting out what those unsatisfied Domino's lovers had in mind…

The codes were working at a large amount of stores when the deal was first posted.
It looks like many of the stores have then cancelled the code this morning.
Thats why people are angry
It went from 99% acceptance to (maybe) 5% acceptance overnight.
Yes so posting the codes early really is a bad practice. It just encourages hundreds of people to "test" the codes at their local stores meanwhile the store owners happily remove all the codes as soon as they notice them being used (and before they are become valid)
The problem is that the codes work, until they don't, without warning, at any time. Why allow us to pre-order and use a code, then take it away? There's not even a warning with an email or message when they cancel your order, it just disappears.
You'd think a muli million (billion globally) dollar franchising company could implement a system that doesn't allow codes to work for certain stores gasp just like some of their other codes :O
The actual terms and conditions of these deals are not clearly stated anywhere on their website or in their generic terms and conditions.
You say it says "selected stores" multiple times. Their terms and conditions mention "selected stores" only three times, none of which pertain to this deal or similar.
Or did you mean this post? That didn't say "selected stores" at all at first and it appared to be a nationwide deal? Or until it was amended?
A hint to spare your greasy keyboard… "Selected stores" didn't appear until the 4th revision four hours later. Have you even tried clicking on the revisions tab of a deal???
It is through the trial and error from multiple members commenting that we may have worked out if it's franchised stores or company owned stores, or if it excludes certain states.
Tried a bunch of stores in inner Brisbane. None work for me :(

Thank god I pre ordered. Just tested the code again and it's now coming up with not accepted.
Lesson for all in future, pre order as soon as one of these deals are posted as you never know the store may turn off the code later on
Doesn't matter if you pre-order. The store can cancel your order like they did mine without warning or notification.
Can't find any stores accepting the code on the Southside of Brisbane either.

Not working in any of the WA stores either.
I tried the codes for preorder at a store yesterday and they worked.
I just tried them again now and they are not accepted.
The store rushed overnight to cancel the codes, even the new codes in bold above.
FORCE ALL THE STORES TO ACCEPT.

If you owned a Domino's franchise would you want to be in the red over a promotion from corporate that you had no say in?

You have to act as part of the franchise.
We need someone in Dominos IT would can make codes without letting the franchises know. Don't give them the opportunity to not accept.

Yep, once again the offer is sent to me and on their website, but the codes don't work.
Tried preorder last night, checked again now, and tried the alternate codes….
