Haven't heard much favourable information about these in comparison to other competitors. Personally, I'm waiting for increased availability for the Edifier NeoBuds Pro

    • I too am in agreement with DecoAus. Apparently it's not that good a jump from the 75t elite active, for example, and you're better off waiting.

Night and day from the 75t, have owned both and the offence is significant. They also don’t rely on sealing into your ear complexity so are much more comfortable to wear. My only gripe was the fit, fixed that up with a small ring of blu tac within the ear tip. The fit is really important for the best sound so worth sorting out

App is quite good and allows a lot of customisation.

Happy with the noise cancelling but nothing beats the noise cancelling of my wired Bose quiet comfort 25 earbuds though.

        • My gripe with te 75t is that you cant use earbuds independently, have to use the right side. I think 85t hasnt changed that?

If you can use the left side independent of the right side then I would make the upgrade.

          Hopefully 95t has that.

@Teal: Check out the new Elite 7 Pro

            • @djkelly69: OH!

Thanks for that, does this replace the t range , or is this another range of buds? I see it has an active model and an Elite 3

          • @Teal: No independent left

"nothing beats the noise cancelling of my wired Bose quiet comfort 25 earbuds though."

WH 1000 XM3/4 are just outside mate and they want to have a word…

          • @Ozbargainerd1: Owned both? Genuinely interested if it’s based on experience

I own these and I'm pretty disappointed. The jump from Jabra Elite 65t is not that big. In fact I enjoyed the fit of Jabra Elite 65t even more.

I jumped from 65T to these as well. Not sure what you're talking about but the difference in sound signature is massive. Connectivity and fit is much better. Can't forget noise cancellation. My only gripe with it is that they protrude a bit compared to the 65T or 75T. But for the sound it produces, that's barely a negative for me personally.

My experience was the fit is definitely more snug on the 65t but 85t is roughly as secure (regularly jog with them, do have to adjust sometimes, but not often) while feeling nicer to wear long term.

I have heard thought that some people can't get a secure fit at all because of the oval eartips (versus round for 65t) so YMMV. E.g. wirecutter review.

Pairing is also much quicker on 85t vs. 65t and the sound is improved to my ears as well although none of the TWSs are really going to give you amazing sound compared to wired.

I do have a weird issue where I can hear a rattle on left earphone when I am jogging. May be my fault though as I have dropped them a few times outside.

Overall really happy with them. The multipoint switching is alone a selling point for me, there's only a few other brands that can do this. It's really nice to be able to switch from smartphone podcasts to PC without having to do anything at all.

    Gold is now $199

  • Got the gray color from Jabra family friend program for $150.
Quit happy with the size, fit, wireless charging, as well as the button control options, in comparison to Sony XM3
Sound quality is not as good as XM3, but good enough. I’ve then replaced the XM3 by 85t.

  • Have currently been tussling so much between active 75t, 85t, AirPods Pro and Powerbeats, namely wanting for the gym but also to take work calls. So. Many. Choices

  • All those reviews about the left ear bud hissing is rather concerning.

  • Has anybody compared these to the AirPods? Which one has a better fit and not fall off?

  • I am pretty happy with the $149 pair I got but only problem is with ANC on, battery doesn't last more than 3.5 hours. Also I don't appreciate that you can only use the right one on its own. Call quality and audio are pretty good with no lag at all. You can connect to two devices simultaneously which is handy.

Has anyone used Huawei Free buds pro and how are these compared to Huawei ?

      I'd like to know too.

      • Hey - Did you find the answer?

I am still using Samsung earbuds plus which is pretty good. It's my personal preference that I like wings on earbuds.

    • same here mate, using my Samsung Buds+ on my iPhone
but have also bought Bose Quietcomfort earbuds for online meetings etc

      • I saw the review of Bose QC earbuds which is one of the best. How is your experience?

        • they are excellent (I got it for $201 through the recent latitude pay discount)
          extremely good at NC

rest is all good like other Bose products like the Bose700
          i.e. good mic
          battery life is good
          comfort 9/10

          no complains at all

but yes its not for ppl who wana go for a jog/exercise etc

I have the Jabra Elite 75t and find when I turn my head sometimes, or if my phone is in my left pocket, the sound temporarily stops. kind of annoying.

Anyone else got this issue? Guessing it's the BT getting disrupted by my thick head lol

For reference, Phone is a Samsung s20 Ultra 5g and also same issues with my Galaxy Watch Classic 4.

    • yes. connection is spotty at times. great headphones otherwise

I bought these for video conferencing/bluetooth phone calls for work for quite a few hours of the day. Great clarity in picking up voice and also receiving, good NC and music sounds great. I recommend. I can't compare 75t vs. 85t though like others have.

  • I bought a pair of these in January after my Bose QC30 stopped working. I mostly use it for phone calls. I've found them to be absolutely fantastic. My Bose ones lacked sidetone, which these Jabras do exceptionally well. Calls are clear, range is good, and I don't find myself yelling. Highly recommended.
