  • This phone keeps on getting more enticing every week…

    Thanks for posting.

    • Price is now $429 + postage

      • +3

That's why this deal was posted….

      • +1

        With $19 postage that's $448, as per title….

      • Lol

  • +6

    Everyday price droppin'

    • +4

Hopefully Amazon don't start selling this for $0.01 less each day… constant M4 posts is bad enough.

  • +9

insert 'waiting for sub $400 price' comment here

  • +10

nah, waiting for $300, should b bout 3 weeks at this rate

    • +4

At this rate, it is feasible to wait for a "free handset + bonus free cash" bundle.

  • +1

Interesting to see the price to drop so much over the past 2 weeks, and s3 hasn't even been announced yet :S

    • +2

If you could pay current price on delivery it would be even cheaper - and would give them incentive to deliver fast to get best price :-)

      • +10

I ordered on Saturday under (one of) the old price(s). Phone hasn't arrived yet but is due any day now. I just rang Kogan and they were happy to refund me the difference between what I paid and the current price. So easy! I just asked nicely, and they were happy to do it.

I don't feel that they are obliged to, and I don't feel I am 'entitled' to the refund, but since people on whirlpool had said they'd had luck asking, I thought I didn't have anything to lose.

Certainly gets Kogan a whole heap of positive consumer sentiment from me and anyone who'll let me tell them about it!

        • Let us know when it arrives

        • That's true. However, if you read same forums (Galaxy Note), you'll see that some people were sent a refurbished phone. When they complained, they replaced the phone….with another refurbished phone! Buyer beware.

        • how can u tell its a refurbished phone?

  • +6

Nah, waiting for a MicroSD slot.

  • +1

By the time you enter your details in the checkout basket, there is a price drop!

  • I'm loving this price war! Seems like just a few weeks ago i was considering this around $530ish. Might have to get one of these to tide me over until the S3 is released and drops in price.

  • +2

I'll be happy with $400.00 will get one for sure if it does

  • -6

Yeh good thing i opted for an iphone 4s. Nexus devalues so quick.

  • +1

The Note has also dropped price at Kogan - down from $549 + $19 shipping to $539 + $19 shipping

  • Anyone locking for a local version of this phone at the same price please contact me. Thanks
    http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/66109

    • whats your asking price? most ppl would prob wait and see given the price is so volatile..

  • 400 and I'm in!

  • +1

Price has been matched by eGlobal ($448 with free shipping): http://www.eglobaldigitalcameras.com.au/samsung-galaxy-nexus…

    • +2

yer but then i heard kogan has better service and will refund price difference :P

    • +1

      Kogan vs DWI?

      hands down kogan

  • +2

I wonder if there are any Kogan reps around who can offer us free shipping??

    • I like your thinking! ;)

  • There's free shipping until 22nd March (tomorrow).

I just ordered a Galaxy Note today :)

    • There is?!!!!!!
Shit! Now I'm really tempted to get the Note!

      • Technically.. you have to pay with Paypal (phone + postage) then they refund your Paypal account… which is a bit silly but better than a smack in the face? :)

        • "This promotion is not valid for shipping charges associated with the purchase of Canon, Nikon, Samsung, HTC, Motorola, Dr Dre, Sony, Apple, or any other "non-Kogan" branded prducts."

          Have I read it wrong……..?

        • hmm problem with this is i don't know if the price protection on 28 degrees is void if paying with paypal even though you're charging the 28 degrees card

    • How did you get free shipping? Mine is showing $19 to Bne.

      • Read the info from the link above. You have to pay for postage and use Paypal. Then they refund you the postage to your Paypal account.

        • +3

it says Kogan branded products, i doubt this includes Samsung

    • Sorry to disappoint but that's only on Kogan branded goods. Not Samsung etc

  • +1

Maybe but the Kogan chat sales rep said I'd get a refund. I don't really care - it was a bonus for me as I was going to order today anyway.

  • +4

I'm hoping Kogan would offer us Ozbargainers an exclusive discount code (e.g. free shipping or 5% off). Just emailed the Sales team but not sure if they'll reply thou :]

    • haha! you did?
You really are a true Ozbargainer!

    • +2

good work, i might just pony up if that comes through

  • Sorry, I just read the fine print.

"This promotion is not valid for shipping charges associated with the purchase of Canon, Nikon, Samsung…"

    So no free shipping :(

    • hope you saved your chat with the rep ;)

      • +1

yer if you can get the phone @$429 delivered its a bargain

    • It also said Kogan(highlighted in red) branded products. I don't think anyone thought it included free shipping.

  • Unbelievable, SG Nexus is cheaper than SG SII at Kogan. Thinking of getting one when it was $600+, if below $400, definitely consider getting one.

  • -6

This morning i thought it is a good deal. However, i found out that you can get a docomo GALAXY NEXUS in jp yahoo for around 23,000yen(~AUD$300). Therefore I think i should warning everyone there is acutally ~50% priminum for (?good) service/warranty.

    • I see.. but I think those phones are branded and locked.
But indeed.. $150 premium for an unbranded and unlocked nexus.. :(

    • But they don't ship to Aust …

      • -1

my friend in hong kong received one yesterday for 22,000yen. So if they can ship to hong kong, i can't see why they don't ship to australia.

        • +2

I do think $150 is too much a premium to pay for a unbranded and unlocked phone. As unlocking would cost only an extra $15.

What are the views on this from you guys?

It's on a par with someone posting what others think is a bargain, until someone else pipes up and says, but it's available from alibaba for so much less.

Come on, there's really no comparison, and who is to say the phone will even be in English?

    • +2

I'm glad I live in hong kong and can read Japanese so I can go to the website and order one.

      • do you mind letting us know if they would also unlock the phone?

        • +4

          -_- I wasn't being serious lol

      • lol damn… and i was wondering why would u be on Ozbargain :P

        • +2

It's just that he negs the deal because there is a cheaper phone in another country that may be locked, carrier branded, and not sure if it can be shipped to Australia.

Also he could at least link the site where to buy it from.

        • -2

yes they are locked but can be locked and my friend show me this link, http://page18.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/w72708180
          Sorry i am too lazy

I would prefer wait for a month or so to get Quad core phone.

    • +1

Why would anyone need a quad core phone? What are you going to use it for, running a dedicated server from your phone?

    • -3

The more cores the better right?

  • In terms of the phone note that Telstra has released the ICS update for the Velocity 4G so there are now more choices if you want the latest OS on your phone.

  • Pls free shipping….

  • The impending release of the HTC One X and S as well as ICS updates for lots of existing handsets is probably driving prices down. I mean the HTC One S is being billed as 'mid-range' phone and yet on paper it has better specs than the Nexus (slightly smaller screen though). The novelty factor of the Nexus is quickly being eroded.

kogan needs to step up and beat eglobal!!!
