  I recently got my garage roller door automated, and the guy was happy to do it for $400.

  That's INCLUDING a 2 year warranty; he also is in Melbourne, and was negotiable on price, where-as this mob wasn't.

      Hi thejew is your query directed towards us or the movieman, as we would like to know too, as we have done some research to make sure that we are offering a great deal even our opener price is cheaper than on ebay and if that doesn't say something in itself I don't know what will……and personally I love this site and find heaps of great deals here on OzBargain…

        P.S also I noticed on their advert for their roller door opener, that it mentions only a 12 month warranty can you confirm you got 24 months warranty..

        Hi again thejew and movieman if I knew you were after a Chinese opener, we can do a Chinese opener of same quality as the herculift motor we can sell it for $380.

        we deal with herculift too, their headquarters is in Sydney and they have been trying to get into the melbourne market for awhile their local rep is Simon a nice guy, I recommend Automatic Technology only because we have sold thousands of these motors and have trialed and tested them and know from experience they are worth the extra dollars…especially when it's on sale..

        They are also based in melbourne and have a great service team here if there are any problems or you have any queries.

    Hi venomx2 yes we do automatic gates, we have various makes available but choose to use Automatic Technology and FAAC as primary gate openers that we recommend as we have found them most reliable ATA is an australian company FAAC is made in italy.

  Thats rather odd
  ATA openers are not manufactured in Australia.
  They are manufactured in China.
  Does the ATA opener you specify come with a 2 year guarantee on parts?
  or parts and service?

    Hi vass44 you're absolutely correct, I never said they weren't manufactured in china…sorry if that was missleading….I think you'll find that most things are made in china now a days…it's rare to turn something upside down in any home, not only here but around the of the world and find it made anywhere but china. Even one of the most sold products the iPad which I regard as high quality is made in china..

    I think the most important thing vass44 is the people who govern and monitor the quality standards and of the manufacturing process..

    although you may find that people might say Chinese product are cheap and nasty, I think ultimately it comes down to the standards the individual companies. With time I think you will find their quality standards across the board will improve as Taiwan products did. I remember when people referred to Taiwan products as they do Chinese products now.

    and yes the GDO6 comes with a 2 year manufactures warranty on parts and service.
