Klarna t&c: This offer is limited to one per customer at each participating store.
Requires credit check at first purchase.

Plus 5000 Flybuys points ($25cr) on first Klarna purchase by joining their myRewards first! Claimed.
Makes this a nice first purchase with Klarna!

ORDERED 2 cartons from Ozsale via CR, paid via Klarna.
Received email confirming 4th payment paid by Klarna🎉

Only choice was number of cartons!
Applied 'Goldilocks & the 3 bears' approach to purchase decision…

Price (delivered) after cashback & Klarna discount:
1 carton $48.30 - too few to bother!
2 cartons $96.60 ($48.30ea) - just right!
3 cartons $147.40 ($49.13ea) - good, but too many as $210 purchase just exceeds (max $50) discount from Klarna. (Also for me - last few cans might be close to expiry by time I drink them!)

Use Referral randomised for Ozsale - gives a $20 off $40 credit for future purchase onto Referrer account. Unfortunately nothing for those purchasing using referral, but it's nice for other OzBargainers.

EXTENDED TO 12/11!

Referral: random (85)

The referrer will receive a $20 voucher (min spend $40), once the invited friend has made their first purchase of $20 or more.
No benefit to the referee.

For those that don't have Klarna, worthwhile getting a MyDeal $20 off $60 voucher from Little Birdie and getting a case for $49.99 delivered from CUB. Vouchers are limited so will have to be quick.

Worth trying to stack with cashback too.

  • Best before date?

    • Ask CUB - owned by ASAHI.
Discussion is some 500ml cans are being brewed in Australia
From tasting these imported cans & the local bottles of Asahi Super Dry - I'd guess the Australian cans are not worth drinking!
These are promoted as imported from Japan.

The last 2 cases I bought from them a few months back have expiry/BB of 07/04/22.

    • Confirm brewed in Japan - BBD 28/7/22

  • How do I get the 5000 flybuys points with Klarna? can't see where to add my Flybuys account. I signed up a while ago but never used it.

    • +1

In Klarna, join their myRewards (free) - first time you purchase on Klarna it adds 5000 FB points to caim.
You then add & link your FB account.
Was there to claim in minutes of placing order.

      • Thanks. Order placed. Hopefully see that in a few minutes.

Its a nice bonus & worked well for me.
The 4th payment waiver & $25 FBuys credit convinced me to sign up to Klarna.

          • @INFIDEL: That sealed the deal for me too. I am brewing my own beer these days but do like this when available at a good price.

            • @nubzy: Enjoy all your beers 🍻

              • +1

                @INFIDEL: Cheers you too :D

                • @nubzy: Was given a Coopers home brew kit by a well meaning friend - years ago…
I don't drink enough to justify the effort. Had to throw out the expired ingredients, but kept the equipment - just in case.

Down to my last 16 cans of last carton of these - nearing expiry date.

                  • +1

@INFIDEL: It is worth the effort. Works out much cheaper (~$20 for 23L of beer), and I find the process enjoyable. They also do some nice recipes each month: https://www.diybeer.com/au/recipes/

My go to is the Coopers pale ale, 1KG BE2 and sometimes dry hop with Citra

                    • @nubzy: I'm just too lazy to make it, but not too lazy to drink it ;-)

Have followed discussions in recent Coppers kit Deal from that supplier - about better alternatives.
Found my equipment… Somehow that's probably as far as I'll get!

  • Asahi delivered (in time for start of free films at Japan Film Festival in Brisbane).
Confirm brewed in Japan - BBD 28/7/22

    • Did you make 3 Klarna manual payments? I did and it’s been a few days and the final payment is still showing, due in December.

      • Thought about it, didn't do.
Makes sense (for them) they wipe final payment at usual time.
