Fujifilm FinePix X100 Digital Camera $899 (Free Pickup or $15 Delivery to Sydney)

60

I have been looking to buy one of these for a few months. The best retail I could casually find is $1080 with second hand versions going for $800-$950 on ebay, with the cheapest one I missed out on last night on ebay going for $720.

This is the cheapest I have seen for new and immediate delivery, but since I am ready to buy now, I welcome your feedback or links to a better price. For anyone else in the market for one of these, the Fuju X-Pro-1 with interchangable lenses lands soon at around $1600 for the body I think. I am specifically looking for an x100.

(personally, if you have one second hand forsale, please contact me) <- i hope you dont mind me adding this to the deal mods, else edit is ok).

Tell him he can store it at my place free of charge :)

  • It was a good deal… I got mine from Camera House Last Friday for $999 …..

    • Enjoying it? what was your previous camera setup? DSLR?

      • Yes, I like it a lot … it has superb lens and the image is excellent.
Having said that, I am still try to get familiar with this new babe and hope to get more good shoot soon :)

My camera setup? I had a Canon S95, which is very good for its size. I carried it everywhere before i gave it to my sister two months ago.

        I have a D90, + SB600 + Nikon 18-105mm + Tokina 11-16 mm F2.8 + 50 mm Nikon F1.8

Oh man… this hobby can cost us a lot of $$ huh?!

    • Is the auto focus really as bad as people say?

      • The manual focus is fly by wire, so the electronics translates your action. New firmware fixes some main gripes, but not sure what. I haven't read about complaints of auto focus though. Any info you can provide is appreciated.

      • The auto Focus is not as bad as what people said.
Maybe It was really bad before the firmware upgrade released.

Of course the auto focus is not as fast as my D90, but is not too bad either. I can cope with that.

Focus in Macro Mode is not as smooth/fast compare with Canon S95 but once in focus, the image is great.

Also, the focus point in optical view finder vs Electrical view finder/LCD mode is quite different.

To get better auto focus, i think EVF is the way to go?!
Well, different ppl has different preferences anyway

I love this camera … no regret for sure :)

I've got this camera. It's surely the VI of cameras, taking quite some time to get adjusted to, but once adjusted, it will give you excellent pictures. It's one of the best low-light cameras around.

Did anyone get it? otherwise, it's maybe a marketing scam.

    • I ordered and later was denied the right to receive the purchase. My order was cancelled.
