  • How much?

  • It is CN plug which is "compatible" reversed AU plug.

    • You right.
I will keep it if its not a EU or US plug.

    • -3

And you can cut it off and replace the plug yourself if you need to.

      • +3

        Yeah, don't do that.

        • Yeah you're right, it's electricians only. Previously I thought it can be DIY'd.

          • @safrane: Just for context, in the US and UK and no doubt many other countries in the world, it's completely legal for you to do basic electrical work like changing a plug, light switch, or making your own network cable.

However Australians are somehow incapable of doing it safely so the government has made it illegal. Because what if … etc.

  • what is that 3 holes on the side ? so this works like an extension as well? but the plug/hole is not australian..

hmmm weird first photo has 5 holes on the top, but second photo only 3 holes on the right side.

    • -1

      That's EU plug
I send message to the saler, will update later

      • -1

Nah, pretty sure its a US 3 pin plug.

        • it isn't the US 3 pin
The 5 holes are likely two bypass sockets. 3 pins for the China/AU type and 2 for the US/China/Japan type

          • @spad: The seller updated the listing pictures. It used to be a US 3 pin plug. It was 2 unequal straight pins and a semicircular pin at the bottom, like ChiMot's comment.

    • It looks like a mains pass-thru for US plugs.

Interesting idea. Though, not much use here I suspect.

  • So is this AU plug or not lol?

    • It is CN plug which is "compatible" reversed AU plug.

This sale is scheduled to start tomorrow if you need 100w
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/661640

    • Not an AU plug though, that would be so unstable.

    • Does this come with an Australian pin plug?

      • It is CN plug which is "compatible" reversed AU plug.

        • Nah the AliExpress listing is US or EU.

Still waiting for the Banggood ones from September.

    • Same here. Might have to try and cancel today. Looks like mine still hasn't shipped.

  • doesnt look like an AU plug in all the pictures of the post .. please check clearly.

    • Plug Type CN/AU Plug

According to the specifications. OP has messaged the seller anyway to clarify.

  • +1

    Not AU plug. No deal.

  • Does anyone have this already? Can't find any reviews of this online.

  • This looks very handy for traveling (when we can actually do that…). I don't like that it seems to be a gamble whether the GPO on the side of the unit is an AU compatible.

    Got reply from the sales

    Hi,

China uses 2 pin and 3 pin plugs. So they're backwards compatible with a few countries. In Australia, you can use 2pin(slanted) and 3pin. Please refer to the attached picture.

    regards

    • Pins aren't insulated in the pictures, so not Aus compliant

      • +5

No they're Chinese plugs which are Chinese compliant. But they work fine in Australian powerpoints.

If you're concerned about the lack of upper pin insulation, I suggest you don't stick an electrically conductive knife between the socket & the pins when plugged in & turned on. But if old habits die hard, a few pieces of well placed heat shrink should do the trick! Or use a ceramic knife.

        • 😂

  • anyone bought this from https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/646949 and got theirs yet?
    bought back in aug
    delay after delay
next expected shipment is 18th nov

  • The side holes are typical CN socket lay out for three pins or two pins plugs, not sure if you can put an two pin AU plug in it though, China has updated the socket standard a few years back and some of the layout won't let you plug in the two pin AU plug without the ground pin

  • It's showing $64.34 for me, you need to be an eBay plus member for the (PSSDS22) code to work. :'(
I've been waiting for one of these (2x type C, 2x type A) GaN (small form) chargers to pop up under $50, almost but not quite.
    $64.99 -$ 6.50 (khakisale) +$ 5.85 (GST) = $64.34

  • OOS already! That was quick!

The inventory of this listing is restored

    • Thanks for posting- I wanted one but Banggood were taking orders for stock they never had….and continued to take orders. I closed my Banggood account now, banned!
