  • Get this one for $3 inc shipping
Just doesn't have a usb charger.

    • So if I have an appliance from UK will it fit in that adapter which I then plug into the wall sockets here?

      • yes you can, I have one and it can be used anywhere…even on wall sockets here

    • Good luck plugging that into an extension lead or Belkin power board. I wonder if the Shopping Square one mightn't also be a bit too big to fit into recessed sockets (not that there's an alternative if you really want an all-in-one adaptor).

      • I got mine yesterday from the last time this was on. It's a lot bigger than I expected. Plugged into a normal wall plate socket, it actually overlaps the on/off switch. No hope in hell of fitting into a recessed socket.

    • Does the $3 one fit into recessed round plugs like this http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/2/26/C_plug.jp…

      Or is it too boxy?

    • The one on offer looks much neater and the USB provision is a nice touch.

    • Not sure if it's the same, but my girlfriend had one that looked like this, and it didn't have an earth plug on the AU input side, so you could only use 2 pronged appliances, which was pretty limiting/darn annoying when you got it for Laptop, but couldn't use it. Worked for phone charger and camera battery charger.

  • On close inspection it looks like it doesnt have a facility to earth if plugged into an AU powerpoint.
The earth pin is too big, ok for UK power point though.
Not always an issue, just be wary.
    Definately a handy travel piece.

  • Delivery & Handling: $1.95 (to my postcode in the ACT). Finally, a sensible shipping price on shopping square.

  • Bought one on last deal: http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/65034
BUT STILL HAVEN'T RECEIVED IT YET! 2 weeks already!

    • I just got mine yesterday.

      • Yeah I got mine yesterday also

        • Got mine yesterday too.

Looks more solid than the cube shaped all-in-1 one i got for my last trip. The usb on that one died after the 1st use whilst in europe. And the plug socket was dodgy.

Quite happy with this one, even tho the usb is separate and can't be used together with the electrical socket (detaches to plug one or the other in)

  • Ordered 3 in the last batch for myself and family/friends who are travelling in the next few months. Agree with casval - seemingly solid units so I'm happy.

  • Question, if I have something from US (which I assumed uses 120V), will this thing convert AU 240V to US 120V so that that US item can be used?

    • Absolutely NOT! This is just an adapter without a transformer inside. Your appliances which only can be used on 110V or 120V will get fried.
