Hi OzBargainers,

I had a couple of messages asking for a sharp deal on Nasonex generic (Mometasone Furoate 50mg/s), my old mates over at Pharmacy Action, who I'd actually given up on 12 months ago (and pulled all their products) threw in a few bonuses to allow me to put this deal together today and presumably get back on board as a supplier.

Once I bagged the items up (I usually pre-pack OzBargain deals now to save the 3am packing sessions) I realised this deal hardly fills an Aussie Post small express satchel which seems a bit of a waste, so as a trial I have allowed the option to "bulk up" the deal by adding an extra item at an OzBargain friendly rate, ie. Add 70x Dr Reddys Hayfexo (Generic Telfast) for $10 more, first time I've tried this option on OzB so not sure how it will go - I guess I'll find out shortly.       Hi MaMan there is no regular price as such - market price for a single mometasone spray is somewhere between $12.50 - $20 retail (without freight). The Cetirizine would range from $10-15 retail (without freight).

    Just curious, how does the generic ones stack up with the branded ones (personal experiences)?

    I find that for my case, Telfast works very well but when I use generic (I have 2 different brands), they're not as effective. Is it just me or maybe I need a different generic one?

      If a generic is fresh stock, Australian supplied (TGA approved), has been treated well (not subjected to high temperature) and has the exact same active ingredient - it should be as effective as the original.

    Actual Zyrtec has 5mg Cetirizine and 120mg Pseudoephedrine Source.
    This generic one has 10mg Cetirizine and seemingly no Pseudoephedrine Source.

    Does anyone know what this means and whether one is better than the other?
    Zyrtec works great for me, so I am worried the change in ingredients might not make it as effective?
    Or does the higher dose of Cetirizine make it more effective?

    Any advice or personal experience would be great.

      Your link is for Zyrtec-D. Emphasis on the D. Not the same as regular Zyrtec with 10mg cetirizine.

      These generics work out at $13,33 ea and a pack of 2 Nasonex at CW is $28.99 ie. $14.50 each.
