Interesting, I always call this product Sudocream but it's only crem. Good price thanks!

    Edit: Slow delivery tho!

Ah sorry I'm gonna have to point out huge negative of only dispatch after 1 to 2 months… Bit long time for nappy rash ouch. Try large pharmacy outlets locally? 😊

Also same price on Baby Bunting's eBay store with free shipping. Also means you could also use discounted gift cards to save a bit more. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/223871059764

        • For eBay Plus members
        • My apologies, I must have been logged into my account when I was viewing that listing!

I guess for non-eBay Plus members, you could still take advantage of discounted eBay vouchers by using free click-and-collect if there is a store close by.

Does your baby need to be a Sudo for this to work?

    • +17

      I think only basic privileges

    Goes well on toast.

  • Is this nice on one's bum if they are typically considered an adult in other respects?

    • A bit messy maybe. If you have baby wipes on hand you should be right.

Ps Not sure if serious but anyway…

      • Hahaha

        Glad you weren't sure

That was the Kerbal of humor I wanted to seed

ngl. 2am and beard itchy. Too asleep to wash face. I whack this on. Boom. Instant relief until morning. Didn't buy it for that, got it for the baby but man this stuff is good for all itches and other infrequent rashes.

    • Does it work when I get an itch for cocaine?

The idea of this is to create a water proof barrier for the skin so the wee doesn't irritate it.

A cheaper & effective alternative is plain old Vaseline.

    • +6

Not sure where you got that info from mate but Vaseline and Sudocrem are absolutely not the same thing. Vaseline is a water repellent, Sudocrem is primarily made of Zinc for healing properties.

      • A paediatrician at the RCH. Yes Vaseline is a barrier that stops the skin getting irritated from the wee (since it can't penetrate), zinc perform a similar role.

It’s basically zinc cream, I mean zinc crem

With the added advantage that it sticks far better.

Try Nappy Goo, you won't touch Sudo Cream again.
It is $10.95 at chemist warehouse for 100grams. One tube has lasts me 4-5 months with twin boys and I use almost every second nappy. Much better product.
Don't want Sudo on your hands it's a freaking nightmare. I still have PTSD thinking about it from my first born child.

      Curious - why?

I use this for when jv "burns" me with a witty comment :)

    Sudocrem

    "Good for the bum."

I prefer bepanthem in tubes because its not very hygienic to stick your fingers into tubs all the time.

    • This comes in tubes too

    • Normally stick the corner of a water wipe in it then that corner on the bum, easy

  • Thanks OP. Placed an order at Baby Bunting as I had a credit note to use up anyway.

  • This is actually great for treating skin rashes as well, works for adults too.

  • Best post tattoo cream
