Bruno Duchêne - La Luna Rouge 2020 $56 Delivered @ Juice Traders

80

Incredibly niche areas here, but Juice Traders is selling Bruno Duchêne’s La Luna red for around $15 cheaper than most other natty wine outlets.

Was free shipping for me, and if you use the code WELCOME10 it comes down to just more than $50 a bottle - a saving of $21+ compared to other stores.

His other cuvees (white and rose) also cheap for those inclined.

Won’t be everyone’s cup of tea but IFYKYK…

“Incredibly niche areas” and “won’t be everyone's cup of tea" in the description and you still want to whinge in the comments.

      Yawn.

Not a question of niche. A cheap Velben good makes no sense for anyone from an economics viewpoint. Unless you are under the illusion that it objectively tastes better than a $30 bottle, but we are not that naive here.

          "From an economics viewpoint."

There you go. It's like sooking about Samsung washing machines when there are cheaper out there, iPhones when a Xiaomi will do the job, or a Sony TV when TCLs exist.

Different levels of product exist everywhere. Don't be that guy.

OK, we see it differently. Unlike the others, wine is totally subjective. I could rant about blind tastings, but not much point, eh?

I'm sure it is great wine, so enjoy.

              @bargaino: "wine is totally subjective"

Exactly - So have you tried it?
As it is subjective, unless you have tasted it, you seriously can't comment on the quality or value for money.

            • @bargaino: far out you must be fun at wine parties!

It's minimal intervention wine, made by one of the best (in his particular field of winemaking) in the world.

Why are you in this thread if you don't care?
Seriously. this is not for you - so leave.

I for one, am interested, and am thankful for OPs post.

I'm genuinely curious. Sorry I cannot make my point clearer on the apparent contradiction. But I'm clearly asking in the wrong place, apologies.

Why is it called "La Luna" (moon) and has a big sun on the label?

    Incredibly niche areas here

    OzBargain needs more niche areas!

    (And a littile less whinge)

Thanks OP. Keen to try some decent natty wines and seems like good value for this one in particular.

This guy is a gun - read up on his plot of vines and how he makes his wine, it's intense stuff!

It's a bit of a splurge, but this cuvee in 2015 was my first intro to LoFi wines and I always try and get a couple of bottles each vintage. Unfortunately they're getting more expensive and harder to find every year! May need a few minutes after opening to blow off, but this vintage is really good.

Thanks OP. Not one for me but thanks for the effort!
