How did you see the price? I want to claim my price protection but it says out of stock, put in a random postcode that showed in stock but just goes back to the out of stock page 🤔

    • +1

I'm not sure. It came up as in stock for me when I changed my store. I was able to add it to cart and checkout. I decided not to do the payment though and go into the store in person. It would have worked though.

Edit: i went to the store which is in VIC and it was $49. The website seems to be giving out mixed signals. Sorry to anyone else who got their hopes up!

      • Just got two at my local in WA for $29.40 each, so it's definitely a deal at some places

        • Which store did you go

          • @Arfv: Got the last two at Banksia Grove

  • +4

I have this one, paid 50. it's not a great design as its single basket and you will inevitably spill oil fats everywhere.

The kmart one uses a dual basket design which imo works better to avoid spills.

    • +1

I'm just buying it as a poopy one to use at work

    • Link to Kmart one?

      Can this fit pork crackling?

    • I bought a mesh tray to sit in the bottom for a ghetto dual layer, and a stainless ring if the tray needs to be higher.

    • If I want to get my first air fryer for a single and want decent quality but not breaking the bank in case I end up not using it regularly, would the Kmart be everyone's rec>

      • +1

Yes, the cheap kmart one is fine ive had it for 8 months.
See's more use than it probably should (sorry waistline)

      • +2

3.5 litre would be the minimum I would use. I was VERY sceptical, but its good for putting in some frozen food & getting a meal 15 minutes later. Your supermarket shopping changes to things that are suitable for air fryers,

I have this Mistral one as a "starter air fryer", I would recommend electronic controls, the Mistral one has analog controls.

  • Anyone got a review for the 28L boxy looking airfryer at Coles currently for $99 by Germanica? Was thinking of picking one up but I don't know if Coles has the expertise to stock a good, cheap air fryer

  • Website says it's only available in Town Hall in Sydney for me

  • +1

I got these on sale a few months ago. It’s pretty good for the price tbh.

  • +5

Got one last sale. Great little machine. I like the smaller size because really they are all on a 2400W 10A plug anyway so essentially the bigger = the slower. Can always just do batches when you gotta get your fry on.

  • Compare to Philip $500 air fryer, is this safe?

    • define what you mean by "safe" If you just want a no frills air fryer that does the job, then this is great. We have one (got if as a present last Christmas) We use it all the time, no issues. It is only 3.5l so keep this in mind for number of people it will be used for. Only 2 of us, so that size is fine for us….would be too small for much over that though, unless you didn't mind cooking in batches.

  • Available in a bunch of WA stores too, Currambine as an example

  • is it possible for someone to take a photo of the price and upload :) Thanks.

Anyone want one of these? I'm in CBD next to queen vic market. Have one unused still in the box I was going to give away. Will ask the people in my building if no one here wants it

    (No charge)

    • Hey Mark I'll be happy to take it, I'm also next to Queen Vic market

      • oh hang on let me check who msged me first as i opened my private msgs first

      • lol hard to tell who msged first as his was 2:49 and yours was 4 hours 10 min ago
        so very close

    • Ooh NIL please.

I was able pick one in Tarneit, Mel, Vic for 29.40 as well

    • Damn I just went to Tarneit Gardens and it was $49. Did you have to ask them or anything?

      • Nope just told them the name of this airfryer. It was between the bakery and produce area.

Pretty damn good, a bit small tho. I bought 2 from last sale. Best $70 spent.

  • High quality item.

I got one for free at my Woolies a month ago, because the sticker price was slightly higher than it scanned. The check-out lady was a legend and insisted that it should be free as-per their policy on incorrect product pricing. <3 What a legend.

    • Yep, that’s how I got my one too, although I ultimately gave it to a friend soon after, because I decided I really have no use for one!

You also got lucky, because most staff (in my experience) will insist that the item would not be free, even though the item being free is their store policy.

      • My experience was much worse than yours. Not only not getting the item for free but was told the advertised price was online only. WTF it was a weekly special item not on the catalogue but emailed to me.

        • Woolworths don’t bother publishing their Scanning Code of Practice on their website, which is stupid, but anyway…

If the price on the shelf is lower than the price you are charged at the checkout, the first item is free, and any subsequent items are at the correct price. The exclusions are:

          • alcohol (not that Woolworths sells alcohol in their stores anymore)
          • tobacco
          • any items with a shelf price over $50.

The price on the shelf must be lower than the price charged at the checkout for the item to be eligible under the Scanning Code of Practice. It does not matter if the price on the website or in an email or in the catalogue was lower than the price charged at the checkout, the only thing that matters at Woolworths is the price on the shelf.

It is also the case that the price can and will differ between in-store vs online (or even between different stores). When I posted a deal on this air fryer earlier this year, only the Canberra Airport store was listing it at $24.50. Other stores (and online) listed it at higher prices.

          • @WookieMonster: Except for the price I showed to the store staff was an email from Woolworths as one of the advertised weekly specials NOT online price.

      • I take photos on my phone of the shelf price of anything I buy on special. If anything scans wrong I just show the person at the service desk the shelf price on my phone to get a refund. It saves the wait while the service desk person runs back to the shelf to check out the shelf price.
I'm sorry to say/happy to say my local Woolies are regularly quite slack in changing the shelf price and I get the item for free.

        • Haha I remember being told a long time ago at Coles that if I specifically recalled the price on the shelf being lower than the price at the checkout, I would only be refunded the difference. However, if I did not realise until after purchase that the price on the shelf was lower than the price at the checkout, I would get the item for free. (That is complete rubbish, but what can you do when some staff seem to make up their own rules…)

If I showed a photo of the shelf price to the staff at that Coles, they would immediately insist I would only get a refund of the difference, because I must have known the price would be wrong at the checkout, and no one would be stupid enough to purchase an item if they knew the price was wrong at the checkout.

Bought one of these a while back, no complaints about it :)
    Works well.

  • Bought this weeks ago and it is ideal for 1 person. I’m eating a lot more chips than before.

    • -2

So buying this increases your appetite?

  • i have this one i got it on a special for $19 about a month ago been pretty good compared to the reviews of the handle always breaking

  • In the last couple of days:

    • Gungahlin (ACT) had 16 stacked up in the meat department, but none in the appliances aisle. There were large yellow special signs on the boxes in the meat department stating it was $29.40. The end date listed on the special sign was today (16/11). According to the Woolworths website, there is zero in stock (which I don’t believe).
    • Belconnen (ACT) had two in stock on the shelf in the appliances aisle, but the shelf price was $70. I didn’t scan one to check the price (mostly because I don’t need one). According to the Woolworths website, there is zero in stock.
    • Dickson (ACT) had a couple in stock, but I didn’t see the price tag. The Woolworths website still lists it as having stock.

The website also lists the Kippax (ACT) and Tuggeranong (ACT) stores as having stock.

Is this the one where the handle always breaks ?

  • +1

It is hard to find stock of this model now. They are cleaning out this model and selling a new model.

  • Got one last time. Very basic, timer is terrible, cooking uneven. Pay a bit more and get one from kmart

  • Is this price also for in store? My local Woolies has stock but the price is always higher then on their website.

  • Box Hill and Templestowe VIC both show there's stock but will the stores honour this price?

    • yeah mate they do, I just picked one up from Wheelers Hill

  • Seems they sell or did two models. One slightly bigger (black one i believe). How small are both of them?.

  • Have one of these. Not bad at all.

A warning though they've placed glue in a bad spot where it melts down from inside the and can somewhat seal the tray inside. This spot is just above the handle and fully depletes excess glue after a few uses, don't not worry it gets nowhere near the food though. Atleast this was my experience.

  • $49 shown here now - https://www.woolworths.com.au/shop/productdetails/79116

from the comments about single basket getting oil everywhere, and the pic showing holes in the side of the pulled out basket, I'd say that's fugly and the KMart double basket with solid outside to collect the oil, and detachable holey basket inside to collect oil in the outside basket looks a better, easier to clean design

    • I'm not surprised it's $49 now, because the special tag at one of the Woolworths' I visited had the special end date as yesterday (16 Nov).

  • Thank you OP. Looks like some stores are trying to clear out old stock to make way for the new model, which is 4L, looks very modern and costs $70.

  • Pity it's back to $49

  • price now $24.50

I found a store with stock and purchased 2x for click and collect to meet the minimum $30 spend.

They didn't have but gave me 1x of the 10L model (plus a small bag of chocolates) for the same price ($49).
