  • i ended up buying the Lexar class 10 32gb for 38.40 as i'm over my class 2 16gb card.

  • i cant find any shipping on Amazon

    • You have to go through "add to cart", "checkout" & all the way to the end (confirm order) before you see the shipping price. If it doesn't ship to Australia, you might only find out after putting in the destination halfway through checkout. Also, most merchants on Amazon don't ship to Australia, but if they do, the shipping price is usually crazy.

      • Saw a $5 16GB card, but postage was $25

  • I know that consumers with problems are often more vocal than satisfied customers, but the Amazon reviews indicate a near 10% failure rate for this card. Local, risk it; US, maybe not.

I know that consumers with problems are often more vocal than satisfied customers, but

I know the figures I'm about to give are perhaps dubious and misleading, maybe an order of magnitude divorced from reality, but Amazon reviews suggest WD Green hard disks have a roughly 25% early failure rate, homeopathic remedies have an 80-90% success rate, etc.
