Full high definition (1920x1080) is 2MP (MegaPixel), 4k Ultra high definition (3840x2160) is 8MP, 8k Ultra high definition (7680x4320) is 33MP. For comparison, 8432x4743 is 40MP, and the not-yet-released Fujifilm X-H2 40MP camera has an indicative price of less than US$2500.     Am I missing something here, is this a 40 mega pixel camera, or the model number is 40MP? I haven't been keeping up to date with cameras, but that seems like a lot.

        Hello, the lanyard is convenient for parents and babies over 5 years old to carry out. If your baby is about 3 years old, you can remove the lanyard. The camera is a bit heavy. Please check the parameters on the details page carefully before purchasing.

      Interpolation. 2000w pixels means it's actually more like 3mp, then just inflated from there.

      And yes thousands of photos on a 600mah battery is probably inflated by a similar magnitude lol.

        Why no 100MP? I can see how they can save on-device storage and keep only the native 3MP images, then a simple prioprietary app could resize it 3300%.

      Please look elsewhere, this is junk. I recommend doing a search for "tough camera" on FB Marketplace or Gumtree.

    Deceptive description and specifications. Referencing 40MP as the ‘effective resolution’ when it is probably a ~2MP sensor (or less??). Even if the files end up being 40MP, they will just be interpolated from a much lower resolution.

      I dare not boast that it have the same resolution as a professional camera of hundreds or thousands of Australian dollar, but it is clear enough to take pictures of your baby's daily life.

        Then why are you staying that it is 40MP??
        I don’t have an issue with a $39 camera with basic quality/resolution - this may be of interest to some.
        I do have an issue with stating incorrect specifications and trying to fool buyers though. Unless you can prove that this is actually a 40MP sensor, then I see this as false advertising.

            @modar store: It's either 40MP or it's not. You're "associated" with it and have posted about it on OzBargain and thus have taken responsibility for knowing the terms of the item. Under Australian Consumer Law the seller is responsible for the representations they make and false and misleading representations is unlawful. I do not know if you are the seller, but I have drawn from your response that does not confirm that it is 40MP.
