Microsoft Arc Touch Mouse or Logitech MX Anywhere 3 $99 + Delivery ($0 to Metro/ VIC C&C) @ Centre Com ($94.05 PB @ Officeworks)

170

Definitely not the cheapest it's been but I was looking for a travel mouse I could also use with my iPad. With the Officeworks Price Beat, I managed to take $35 off the $129 OW price (which is at least $10 higher than most other places). It's comfortable, comes with 2 AAA batteries (future Eneloop potential!) and is working well for my needs so far.

Updated to add the Logitech MX Anywhere 3, which is available for the same price and is better reviewed in the comments.

Horrible mouse with extremely poor ergonomics. Don't recommend it. Get an MX Anywhere for travel.

    • Seems okay so far but I'll check out the MX Anywhere 3 - can get for about the same price using the same method.

MX Anywhere has bluetooth as well as wireless dongle and can be used wired. It can have 3 device connections preset with toggle button at the back. May not be as slim but very comfortable, battery lasts months of daily use and extra buttons are very useful. Highly recommended.

I exchanged the Arc for the Anywhere this afternoon (same price). It's definitely better in terms of comfort, working with iPad and the simple device switching. I found the Arc comfortable enough but the scroll tracking wasn't the best (compared to Apple Trackpad etc). Thanks for the recommendation.

    • Does not look comfortable.
The mouse that comes with the sculpt keyboard kit seems better.. I have one

Heh, I actually feel the same way about the MX Anywhere, it's awful: too small to use comfortably and and the scroll wheel is crap.

I think the MX Master should be used for travel instead, the price of the Master 3 is about $130 but the Master 2 goes down to $89 or so.

These are great for portability, but if you have big hands they csn be a little uncomfortable.

    DONT BUY THIS!!!! END

Even the Apple Magic Mouse has better ergonomics. Which is not saying much…

  • Actually used this years ago for school work and even games.. (dota).

Might have been bad ergonomics, but I don't think it was bad at all. It was fine until the right click sort of became irresponsive at times.

I don't have big hands though!

Oh God not this mouse… they gave them to us at work, bundled with the surface a few years ago… worst mouse I've ever used. Swapped with my own MX shortly after.

The are simply crap to hold, the tracking is average, and most in our office failed and were replaced.

Maybe has gotten better in terms of quality over the years but I'd never willingly pick this mouse if I'm expecting to use it for many hours… but it is nice and portable if you needed a backup to chuck in the bag for those days you wanna pop into a Cafe for an hour or something…

I've got three MX Masters, but recommending something that size and/or awkward shape is missing the point. It's not a mouse you use for 10 hours a day. It's something tiny and flat you can slip into a pocked on a slim case for occasional use when you are mobile. I used one for years and it does the job perfectly.

Yep, I've seen people use them as their regular mouse and have no idea how they do it. As something compact you can keep in a small bag and use on the road or in a meeting it's fine. I tend to keep one in my bag in case I have to do something where a touchpad/screen isn't going to be good enough.

      • Exactly.

Everyone is saying "DoNt BuY" but there are legitimate reasons. I also keep one in a laptop bag for presentations and if I need to use the computer for a couple of hours while out.
