  • where are they located?

  • Big Woop Red 2008 is fantastic value! Just under $3/bottle (if calculated as 750ml/bottle).

For those that missed the amusing but informative video review posted in last deal… https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TkeMsVvpARs "worth watching to hear the US pronunciation of Woop. Plus he gets real excited about how much alcohol is in Aussie wine"

      $52 + $8 delivery - $25 = $35 for 9 1L bottles delivered
And don't forget about the moneyback discount!!

      • tempted, but does it taste ok? Just got a case of 12 Wine Men of Gotham 2008 Shiraz for $67.20 from Dan Murphy. It tastes quite smooth.

        • With wine it's a relative thing. Men of gotham is good for the price but when you taste better wines you end up liking them and so the cycle continues. You want to taste more :)

    • Got the big woop red with their last voucher and just ordered it again. Great value.

  • Thank you very much floppydesk.

they have no hassles refund policy too, if your wine ends up tasting like vinegar infused with armpit sweat

    • Do they cover the full shipping (forward/return) costs as well?

  • So basically saved around $17 a case- good deal op!

    • Plus it gets delivered to your door - saves time and petrol too.

  • Great deal, thanks OP for posting.

I'm intrigued by this mystery deal, does anyone know what it is?

    • Me too! Looks good? Worth the gamble?

      But the 2008 version.
The case I bought was bad, returned it for a full refund. I think it had heat exposure as it tasted like vinegar! Perhaps their new stock is better.

      • Thanks for the heads up! I might try out the one you suggest a few posts down :)

The Filsel is excellent if you like full bodied Sharaz.
Also, off topic, but this wine is FANTASTIC:

Only issue is the price - last week DM has this online only for $17.50. It sold out rather quick and I missed out. They have restocked and put the price back up. However, this wine is still worth the price IMO.

      • Confirmed if you Search for 'Forest Hill' on WM website it returns the Mystery Red page! heh ;-)

  • "Cannot be redeemed on beer"
    :(

  • I buy from them all the time. Not much worth buying atm that I like. I do like this one, but it's not cheap. It's good now, but will be much, much better after about 5 years of cellaring.

  • Ended up getting this

    Free delivery. $67 :)

  • I've tried this one and its a great buy. http://www.winemarket.com.au/GRANT-BURGE-5G-SHIRAZ-12

    • I have case of this too and its a good quaffer.

I always buy from Winemarket now. Great deals even without the discount codes they sometimes give out, like this one.

Unlike Cellarmasters they won't call you with the most intrusive telemarketing I've ever witnessed

    • Agreed, Winemarket have great service too.

  • Winemarket is Cellarmasters. CM make bigger profits, hence the more agressive sales tactics.

    • +1

Hold on there.. Winemarket is owned by the same parent company as Cellarmasters, but we're not the same by any means! That's a bit like saying Vintage Cellars is the same as First Choice. We sell different wine, we don't send snail mail, we have a different team etc etc etc..

      • any plans to update website? Better search engine? Like a combo search (ie. Price+Variety or Location+Variety)

        • We recently upgraded our search functionality, it's a lot clever-er than it used to be. It doesn't seem clever enough to do your combo searches though. Out of curiosity, do you prefer to use the search box on all websites, or is it just something about Winemarket that makes you want to use the search box instead of the navigation?

Our backend solution hasn't been great with website features. It's set to improve a lot in the next 6 months so stayed tuned.. although we're always going to be SCREAMINGLY LOUD RED so don't get your hopes up if red isn't your favourite colour!

      • Wine market = I love you :)

        • Did you love us enough to click through on yesterday's Darwina Van 128 offer??

  • Can i still get the 10 bucks off as well for being a 1st time customer or is it the 25 off and that is it??

  • So how long do they normaly take to deliver? I ordered a case on the 26th but no sign yet.

    • On average, 7-10 working days (aka two weeks).

That's an average so depending on where you live it may be faster or slower… faster if you're in say Sydney or Melbourne, slower once your order has to take a truck, a train, another truck and then a van.. (ahem Perth ahem). FYI our warehouse is in the Barossa Valley so all stock goes from there.

  • Ok, from your earlier comment ", we don't send snail mail, " I was assuming it was going to be a bit quicker thats all(yes to Perth).

BTW, Not a complaint, just wanted an idea on the time thats all.

    • Lucky guess or what?! It can vary quite a bit in that part of the world (train only goes once or twice a week), 7-10 working days is the best estimate. You can track your order online, check the link in your order email.

Can see how the 'snail mail' might have confused things. Another poster was referencing Cellarmasters who send out catalogues and letters via mail. We use wine couriers to deliver all our orders.

Hope your wine gets to you soon.. gives you a chance to work up a thirst!

      • Quick question for you. Do you guys have a fundraising program? I’m part of the parent committee for a local Naval cadet unit and we were looking at doing some fundraising through a local wine distributor but they cancelled the program because apparently the tax department told them that it was a profit sharing scheme. Which seems a bit odd as other companies seem to be offering the same type of thing.

Sorry for posting here but the system won't let me send a private message to you.

        • Send through the details of the fundraising program to [email protected] and we'll take a look, hopefully we can arrange something!
