    Time to buy 1tb?

    Is that the cheapest ever?

    Great find Op!

    • Almost. There was an eBay/Afterpay deal about 2 months ago that was about $1 cheaper.

        $1?? No deal then

        • This is the way

    • Now it's the cheapest!

Whats it like without a heatsink? Is the HS necessary?

    • +1

Reviews I've read say they run hot under load. I went with Samsung 980 Pro because of that but mostly because it was cheaper at the time.

Obligatory question in OzB: Will these work with PS5? Not that I care XD

    • On previous posts people have said yes but I don't have a PS5.

    • +3

Yes, these will work in a Ps5 but you'll need to source your own heatsink. You can get one from Amazon for about 20-30 dollars.

You need to source ur ps5

Prices are starting to level out somewhat finally

    • probably because people realised chia mining was just another speculative w@nk

    1. This works with the ps5 and is one of the best on the market.

    2. You must use a heatsink if you care about longevity. Sony says it needs one, for all compatible ssd's. The "Sabrent M.2 NVMe PS5 heatsink (SB-PSHS)" is a good option, though it's trivial regarding which one to use (as long as it fits).

    3. I bought this myself but have not installed it yet.

  • Great drive, second only to the Seagate Firecuda 530 (which is going to have a significant price premium for a while).

  • What’s with all the SSD deals vis Amazon UK?
I got this morning for $425 (but now over $600) ADATA XPG GAMMIX S70 Blade 2TB PCIe Gen4x4 M.2 2280 SSD 3D Graphics Processing High-End Gaming PC PS5 with or w/o heatsink
Im buying for A PS5 and it includes a heat sink but accept its a cheaper brand than WD

  • I think I'm sold. I'll only be upgrading from a Samsung 960 evo, but these prices look good for a new boot/application drive.

I would have liked to have gone for the 2TB, but the 1TB has slightly better speeds, and I can't turn that away.
