Came here to post this. I had to return a pair on Monday because of this and my ears are still sore and flaky. Never heard of Zumi so make sure they have a sollid returns policy beforee you buy.

      • Not sure about the galaxy buds but can confirm Zumi is pretty legit. Purchased a Logitech keyboard and mouse from them earlier this year and received it with no issues.

      • Has anyone here had any had/heard any issues similar to these with Apple airpods..
I am an avid user of them and reading this now has got me a little worried.

I just looked it up and found some varied reports about possible health effects from them, would love to know if there’s any real life experiences that you guys could share.

I've had Airpods (gen 1), airpods pro, galaxy buds (first gen) and galaxy buds plus over the years and only these galaxy buds pro have given me any trouble

    • Can confirm.
Happened to me, 6 months out, still infected.

it healed - used it for 2 mins, happened again.
Used my airpods and its fine.

Samsung's Galaxy Buds Pro and Galaxy Buds 2 may be some of the best TWS earbuds on the market but they both appear to pose health hazards. A new report, along with a host of similar complaints, indicates that Samsung's recent audio accessories could be causing ear complications.

time to clear the stock, I guess

  • First of all the sound on these are really good. I used to have final audio heaven iis and these produce better sound which is quite impressive. Regards to the ear infection issue, I believe it may be due to how the earbuds make a lot of contact with the ear compared to other brands and indeed the last generation bud+ devices. I found wiping the earbuds and inside of the case once a week or so abates the issue.

    • Samsung buying out Harman is paying off.

    • :P I am not sure about what's causing the inflammation issues to be honest.

Some people say it's the material on metal contacts and plastic, some people say it's the earphone tips, some people say it's because the earphone creates an environment where infections can occur easily during usage, I've seen multiple theories but nothing really tangible.

That said, it's a pity, other than the earphone tip being pure garbage, I do enjoy buds pro.

  • Personal experience, I changed the rubber inserts short of buying from Amazon/eBay they fall off easily. I also get that strange ringing sound when I have the NC mode active and a bit of nausea from it.

I've been sticking with my old Jabra since.

  • Whilst I'm keen to get my hands on these, I think black friday sales might see a better price.

  • For comfort to wear and fit, is buds+ a better buy than pro ??? I have been keeping an eye out for a buds+ deal for this reason.
