Is that last part referring to liquor purchases from Kmart and Target online, or that any online purchase from those two stores don't qualify? That's confusing.

    • Yes, and what are online services are they goods you purchase or something else? It does not make sense to exclude purchases - that is the purpose of Flypay.

      • +1

If that's the case then it doesn't make sense since they include both Target and Kmart in the stores you can purchase from online as part of this offer.

        • Yes, correct.

        • +1

My guess is online services refer to photo centre etc at kmart? I dont really know.

          • @Rain Cloud: I hope that to be the case as I did my online purchase on Target. They could have worded it better.

  • Well the good is we can still take screen shot of the promo from flybuys app, and also the purchase history is saved on flypay account so we have all the record to sue them in court

    • In my case, I have an email of the offer from Flypay and an email from them thanking me for my order.

  • just to add to this thread, I did a qualifying transaction on 25th Nov and points have not yet been credited 4 weeks on..anybody else receive it yet?

    • I had one on the 27th November and nothing yet

    • Did mine on the 20th or so, havent received it yet. Emailed over a week ago, no response.

      • Really poor.

    • 19th November and still waiting, read my post of you wanna hear the latest (I think we'll be waiting a while longer)

    • Same here
It's been more than 4 weeks and nothing. Contacted customer support and the person sounded like they couldn't be stuffed, and just said to wait it should happen. Didn't really want to take down any details e.g Purchase date etc

Well I contacted them again & this time after about 1h15m on hold I was told that even if the terms state'points will be applied within 4 weeks of transaction' in reality what it should say is within 4 weeks of event/offer dates finishing. Apparently that's the case for any offer that's not a Coles offer??
Really pissed me off that I had to call a second time and also that their team of lawyers can't make the terms state facts maybe they need to sack a few lawyers and employ more customer service people so we don't have to waste hours of our lives to chase up points we have earned.
I think the offer finished yesterday so that should mean everyone gets their points by 25th January at the absolute latest but hopefully (if this customer service worker actually knows what she's talking about) it will be applied over the next week or so.
Fingers X'd, if anyone hasn't recieved by then and they give you any grief I've saved a full screenshot of the terms so if you need a copy PM me.
I swear I'm about over dealing with Flybuys now and I think unless it's something I'm gonna buy anyway I'm not buying/joining anything in anticipation of getting points ever again.

    • Thanks for the effort and the info to save us all some grief, the whole thing is pretty ridiculous and could have been avoided if they were actually clear in their terms.

I swear I'm about over dealing with Flybuys now and I think unless it's something I'm gonna buy anyway I'm not buying/joining anything in anticipation of getting points ever again.

I've only ever bought things with FlyBuys that I was going to buy anyway. This offer was a no brainer - get $20-$25 for signing up to FlyPay and paying with a different merchant account with the same card I would have used anyway. But if they aren't going to honour their promotions, and in this case it seems like they haven't, then shouldn't the ACCC be contacted?

      • Can anyone tell me what is so controversial about what I wrote?

  • +1

Just got a reply to my email with the same info in Clarky77's post - "Please be advised the bonus points for your Flypay offer are awarded to a qualified shop and will be awarded within 4 weeks of the expiry date of the offer.

This offer expires on the 27/12/21, so it will take 4 weeks from this date for the 4000 bonus points to apply.

We apologise for the current time frames as Flypay are a partner of ours and therefore, we do not share the same systems so it takes extra work once the offer has completed to award bonus points your account.

If you have any further queries, please call us on 13 1116 Monday to Friday, 9am to 7pm, AEST (excluding national public holidays)."

  • damn, so they changed the terms now?

    • Yeah didn't you know t&c is just a get out of jail card when they want to screw you on something but they don't have to follow the t&c themselves

      • Lol not sure why I am getting begged. I guess there are some flybuys white knights in here

  • Don’t ever return something you bought using flypay… does not compute

Ever had a flypay order cancelled due to the item being out of stock? That’s OK — they’ll keep the points/money as a feature of the flypay ecosystem

Further to your comment, I just checked a refund I was supposed to get via FlyPay and can confirmed that I haven't received it. It's a $1.75 refund but I am curious as to what their response would be. I am going to send an email to their CS and give an update re their response.

Thank you for doing your bit to help make the world a better place

    • +1

That doesn't surprise me. Not sure why you aren't getting downvoted for not brown nosing FlyBuys/FlyPay though.

    • +1

      i didn't get a refund either for a click and collect item (<$2) that I didn't collect.

      • Yeah, I collected that one on your behalf. Thanks — was delicious!

        • +1

in the spirit of Ozbargain : )

I have received a response from the FlyPay CS as below. I believe the CS did not even understand the issue but I have contacted the Kmart CS now. Once I get a refund confirmation from Kmart, I will forward the same to FlyPay and see how they will respond.

      "Thank you for your email.

Unfortunately, we are unable to assist you with a refund request, however, you can request for a refund by contacting the brand that you have made the purchase from.

Contact details can be found on their website.

If you require any assistance, please call us on 1300 359 729."

      • Well, you’re making progress… godspeed!

  • +3

Well, this is the email I got this morning (two weeks after first contacting them)

    Thank you for your email.

Please be advised that we have sent this to our support team for further investigation.

Once we have a response, you will be contacted.

If you have any further queries, please call us on 13 1116 Monday to Friday, 9am to 7pm, AEST (excluding national public holidays).

    Kind regards,

    The Flybuys Team

    ….we shall see

    • Well I’m relieved to know they have a team… a team within a team, no less

Got my 4K points. Only made the purchase Christmas Day

  • Got mine too!

  • Got mine as well

  • got it! thanks to those who put in the time to give them a bit of pressure.

  • Redundant now thanks to the previous posters, but I'm glad that places like this exist to share our thoughts, even when people disagree with them.

    • Yes and make you aware that there is an issue with a particular deal so you can follow up.

      • Yeah mate, that also implied by the "glad that places like this exist to share our thoughts"… In case you were wondering, my "Redundant now" comment meant that I had also received my points - as it seems everyone else has. This is a great community, and it's nice to have a place in it, even when dozens of people give you negative votes - the reason why, I don't really know, it takes more effort to do that than to just ignore someone, so I must have hit a nerve for some reason, or a FlyBuys,Flypay,Woolworths sympathiser group didn't want me saying "hey, isn't this a bit shit that they promised to give us this reward, and they haven't?

Thankfully, places like this exist so when we band together, all of the people here in this thread, and lurkers alike who asked about their missing reward points were eventually given them. Without places like this, they would have simply ignored the few who complained.

  • Got the 4000 points today like everyone else.

  • Me to 4000 points hit sometime after 5pm yesterday.

  • Got my points yesterday also, about 7 to 10 days after the 4 weeks was up…

At least I didn't need to (waste my time) contacting support
