    Is flypay their BNPL program?

    • +3

It's their useless coles group only stores version of paypal.
A waste of time, other than the first time use bonus points.

      • +1

It is actually very useful because you cannot use Coles GC when shopping online and cannot use your own Flybuy dollars unless you use this.

        • Flybuys points or dollars cannot be used at any stores except Coles. So mostly useless.

          • +1

@BBF: You can use them at kmart and target etc instore, just not on flypay

          • +2

@BBF: You can also use flybuys dollars in-store at Liquorland, First Choice Liquor, Coles Express, Kmart, Target and mycar.
Flybuys has its own flight booking website, flybuys travel. So you can earn flybuys points when you book with any airline but also use your flybuys points to pay for any flights booked through the website.
You can transfer points to Velocity Frequent Flyer.
Flybuys also have their own online store where you can buy a range of items.

            • @Yola: So are my flybuys Dollars can be spent via FlyPay?
              Why must link card.. 🤔

              • @capslock janitor: There is confusion between paying with Flypay and paying with Flypay using Flybuy points. You can open a Flypay account without saving a CC or Debit Card but you will only be able to use it at Coles online and up to $50 per transaction.

Currently you can use flypay online at Liquorland, First Choice Liquor, Vintage Cellars, Kmart, Officeworks, Target, Coles Online and Giftcards to pay with a payment card and collect points on qualifying transactions at participating partners.

On Coles Online, flypay has an added feature that allows customers to get up to $50 off their shop using Flybuys points. Coles Online customers can simply select flypay when checking out and follow the instructions to pay in full or part-pay using Flybuys points, from $10 (redemption of $2,000 points) up to $50 (redemption of $10,000) per transaction.

@Yola: yeah i tried last week to buy $5 item from kmart via flypay it asked me to enter CC/DC.
doesnt matter i was able to removed my card few sec ago.

i hope in the future they implement paying with flybuys dollars for EVERY STORES (under coles umbrella)

        • +1

Precisely why I’m signing up. Flybuy points and fly buy dollars cannot otherwise be used online when I shop at Coles

        • you cannot use Coles GC when shopping online and cannot use your own Flybuy dollars unless you use this

Are you saying that you can put Coles GC into flypay? Or are you just buying GC with flypay?

I setup a flypay account last night (for the bonus points) and can't find anywhere to add a GC… I guess I misread your comment?

          • +1

@nismo: You cannot add GC's. But it does enable you to use your flybuys dollars if you have not transferred them to the card, but only with Coles Online.

            • @Yola: you mean to use your flybuys points if you have not converted to flybuys dollar, only at coles online ?

  • This is Targetted. Probably to people who haven't got the points before.

    • Got on 2nd acc; not 1st card. Under "Discover flybuys" section

  • +1

Targeted - I've been offered 3000 points for 3 Flypay transactions - 1000 for each. I've used FlyPay before

  • +2

Flypay is a perfect name, as their system is a turd!

  • I got 2000 points before for signing up. This time they are offering 4000 points just to use it again. Doesn't seem to have minimum spend, so free money I guess.

    • Did you actually receive the points? I used a link in an email in about July for 2000 points also but did not receive them and will have to email them.

      • +2

I had to call them and then email proof of purchase before the 2000 points actually showed up.

        • +3

Ridiculous that you have to do that. Wonder how many people did not check/bother to pursue. I asked 2 family members and they also did not receive the points. What proof did they want?

        • I've been waiting for my points to show up too, how long should I wait before calling them?

          • +2

@ozchappy: The fine print below the email says 4 weeks. Flybuys points usually show up in a few days. I've not seen the 4000 points for this one, but I'd just set a reminder before I get my pitchfork ready :)

            • @darthsparrow: I emailed them jist over 2 weeks ago about points I did not receive in July from an offer to join - no response yet. I emailed Woolworths about points not received due to OOS and received a positive resolution email in 24 hours. Pull your socks up Flybuys.

              • +2

@Yola: I never got a response via email. I had to make a few calls because Flybuys (left hand) doesn't know what FlyPay (right hand) is doing and vice versa.

                • @darthsparrow: Thanks for the info. That doesn't surprise me in the least

                • @darthsparrow: Yes, I will have to do this if no answer soon. Usually, it works for flybuys issues and do not have to wait on the phone for 30 + min.

  • +1

Damn. Why haven’t I been targeted for this?

    • Got this today after all…

  • +1

Does sign up entail a hard credit check?

    • +3

I would say NO. It's not credit. It's just using what you have, like paypal.

  • Hoping to use this for click and collect on any ridiculously cheap item.
    $20 free!

    • The minimum for click and collect is $50 unless you use Click&Collect Rapid which is $30 but costs $5 to use.

      • +4

What about a small c&c at kmart? Theres no minimum there

Just did a $2 c&c purchase from kmart via flypay :)

        • My thoughts exactly!

        • Good idea.

        • any suggestions for $2 item? : )

          • +1

            @asc: Thongs? Otherwise 30pack wipes are $1.75

            • +3

@Rain Cloud: found a notebook for $1.25. Cheers.

  • Can I use flybuy dollars with fly pay?

    • +4

      Yes but Coles online only.

Minimum 2,000 Flybuys points can be redeemed for $10 and maximum 20,000 Flybuys points can be redeemed for $100. When using Flybuys points on your flypay transaction, you must redeem points within the range allowed online by shop.coles.com.au. Please see the relevant Flybuys partner page (https://partners.flybuys.com.au/coles/) for details on qualifying transactions and exclusions online at shop.coles.com.au. By using Flybuys points on your flypay transaction, you acknowledge that the Flybuys points redemption will be subject to Flybuys’ Rewards Terms and Conditions available at flybuys.com.au.

      • Great thanks for the detail

    • +1

Yes, so there is no need to attach a credit card to get the 4000 points.

      • Oh so as long we use flypay we get the bonus doesnt matter if we fund the purchase with real money or pay all with flybuys dollars?

        • +1

Thats how i read my email.

  • Im trying to order something on Kmart that’s around $27. When I check out and select click and collect, for the payment options, all I see are the standard PayPal, credit card and after pay options. I can’t seem to see the flypay option anywhere. Does anyone else have the same issue?

    • Have you linked your Flybuys account?

  • To get the 4000 bonus, Do i need to spend real $ or i can just shop online at coles and pay with all my flybuys dollar?

  • Is FlyPay an app? I can't find it in Apple Store.

    • I use it on a laptop.

  • I tried to link flybuys but I got the date of birth wrong for verification so I went to flybuys app to see what I put in there and I can’t find date of birth in there ? Can someone tell me where to check date of birth of flybuys app?

  • +1

    never mind it works now

  • Good way to get $20 worth for Flybuys Dollars. C&C best value as always.

  • Has anyone gotten the points yet? It says within 4 weeks, wonder if it would take that long..

    • +2

Make sure to keep an eye on it. I had 3 points offers back in July to join and none of them received the points. Have emailed about 1 but have not received an answer as yet.

    • As per my comment above, it's worth keeping an eye for it. 4 weeks is quite long and most people forget about it.

  • Weird system but free points are good I guess

  • Posting this as my reminder that I ran this, cancelled account and am waiting points.

    • +2

why cancel, could be some other promo later in the future?

  • Can i use coles MasterCard as a credit card in flypay???

    • Why cannot? They will like it that way

      • I put coles MasterCard in flypay but it needs netcode from bank which we don’t get for coles MasterCard.

  • Can someone clarify this part of the T's and C's for me?

Eligible purchases must include purchases other than purchases of tobacco and tobacco related products, gift cards, iTunes cards, charitable donations, purchases at First Choice Liquor, First Choice Liquor Market and Liquorland which are deemed to be wholesale quantities

    (emphasis mine)

Does this mean that purchases at FCL, FCLM and LL ARE eligible, unless they're deemed to be wholesale quantities, OR does it mean FCL, FCLM are ineligible and LL wholesale quantities are NOT eligible?

    • +1

Poorly worded but I suspect it is former.

      • Thanks mate, I ended up getting the LiquorLand 2000 bonus points with $50 online spend which I used FlyPay for as well, initially it was a bonus from First Choice Liquor. So I've gotta be covered now.

        • Nope, no points for first payment with FlyPay, no points with second payment with FlyPay, no bonus points either for the $50 online spend after nearly 4 weeks now. There's something wrong with this promotion.

          • @ozchappy: Whoever you are downvoting my shit, send me a message so I can figure out what your problem is.

On topic: I finally got my 2,000 points from the $50 online spend which was missing along with the 4000 FlyPay bonus points. Completely separate days, even though they were completed on the same day. Early December.

Will you downvote this as well?

  • +1

Still no points, guess I am waiting until the 4 weeks before having to get support to 'look into it'

    • +1

Yup please remind each other to check

    • 4 weeks next saturday for me.. not looking forward to being on hold for an hour if i decide to call instead of email!

      • +2

I always email. Even after you speak to someone they may ask you to email proof or nothing happens and then you have to go through it all again.
        This is the address

        [email protected]

        • +1

          Thanks

        • +1

          My mistake it is
          [email protected]

          • @Yola: I emailed this address (it's 4 weeks for me as of today) and they said:
"As part of flybuys terms and conditions, it can take up to four weeks from the the transaction date for the points to be reflected in your account.

If it has been more than four weeks, you're welcome to contact flybuys directly as we don't have access to their points system."

I've forwarded it to [email protected] so we'll see what happens

  • Has anyone got points added after 4 weeks of transactions? Just made a purchase with Kmart using Flypay. Pretty weird set up tbh and not sure what's the benefit for customers aside from the upfront sign up bonus.

    • -1

Hasn't been 4 weeks yet, but still no points after 2 weeks, and they also didn't give me the 1000 points for spending $50 at first choice, I didn't read any fine print saying this wouldn't stack with other offers so starting to get a bit unhappy with 'em.

*added: oh, and there is absolutely no reason to use FlyPay at all that I can see, except for getting the bonus points for signing up with them. I was wondering what the point of it was when I checked out. It sounds like slavery… with extra steps.

      • +1

The benefit is to be able to use flybuys points on purchases at Coles online where you cannot use them any other way or GC's.

  • Today is 4 weeks since i made joined and made a purchase with Kmart and still no points in my account. Anyone else had the points applied yet? Most other offers the points are applied much quicker than the expected/maximum in terms.

    • -1

You're right, It's usually only a few days before the points are credited. I've never had to wait 4 weeks, even though that's what is listed in their T's & C's.

      • I spent almost 2 hours in hold to get in contact with their customer service last Friday and as of yet there's still no points in my account? I'm not holding my breath at this point tbh.
I forgot to ask if there were a lot of others with the same issue.
The one other time I had an issue with bonus points being applied (adding info to Kogan I think) they checked the terms while I was still on the phone and then told me the points would be applied but this time he just checked it had been 4 weeks and said it would be investigated???

        • +1

Basically left hand doesn’t know what right hand was doing. When I called them the last time, I was thrown around like a rag doll: call Flybuys, call FlyPay, please wait for more than 4 weeks before calling, etc etc.

  • +1

I emailed FlyPay directly (it's 4 weeks for me as of today) and they said:
"As part of flybuys terms and conditions, it can take up to four weeks from the the transaction date for the points to be reflected in your account.

If it has been more than four weeks, you're welcome to contact flybuys directly as we don't have access to their points system."

I've forwarded it to [email protected] so we'll see what happens.

    • Pretty radiculous.

    • Email sent on saturday, no reply yet.

  • Same for me it’s been 4 weeks today and no points

  • +2

Just hit 4 weeks, no points. Have sent them an email as well. I made sure to include as much details as possible (offer email, flypay transaction confirmation and order confirmation) to make everyone's life easier.

    • -1

Any response as of yet mate?

      • Nope, got the automated "We will endeavour to respond to your email within the next 7 business days." email, that is all.

  • +2

Week 3 for me and no points as yet.
It looks like a dodgy promo, which people need to chase up to the end of the earth in order to get what you were promised.

  • I paid partially with flybuys points and CC then order was canceled, how-l do I recover my flybuys points? Its been 3 days already, my points has not put back yet. Do I need to talk with flybuys or flypay???

    • -1

I'd email them both, and ask for your bonus anyway. Say you only made the purchase because of the offer.

  • I'm just on 3 weeks since purchase date, no points yet, would be nice to see the points without chasing CS…

Has anyone at all rec'd the points automatically?
    Doesn't look like it

  • +1

Been about 3 weeks for me, no points yet. I've successfully reached out to flybuys on twitter before for missing points, might be worth a shot for those who have been waiting a long time for email support

  • +2

Attempted to get on the phone to call but told a 1hr hold which I am not up for on my last day of work.
Have emailed thanks to everyone else for that email. See how we go, attached the flypay offer and payment confirmation emails. See what they say, normally for these type of things (haven't tried flybuys before) they say we can't securely identify you over email and need to call still anyway….

Has been over 4 weeks for me (Nov 21st) and no points. Looks like no one from the promo got anything, kinda shitty

    • I have been credited Flybuy points by emailing many times.

      • Good to hear thanks

  • Same here. Near 4 weeks or slightly over. No points yet.

  • +1

Sent another email with all the screenshots (didn't in the first email) of the offer and the order number. They havent replied the first email yet. Everyday rewards is so much faster (and painless) with normal+bonus points, most are applied instantly, but flybuys take a minimum of 2 days for me, and for these offers and the 50/100 bonus points for doing their surveys take weeks. And looks like they are only giving them out for this promo if you bug them enough times?!

  • +1

I wonder why they don’t even bother responding to emails. I was also on the phone for 1 hour and 10 min to flybuys and then it hanged up! I was so mad. This is ridiculous how long you have to wait.

    • I work from home, so I just leave the phone on listening to their music on repeat. Not saying everyone can do this, but it's a way to reduce the stress before you get stressed up by Flybuys telling you to call Flypay and vice versa.
