  • I'm curious to see the fellow ozbargainers feedback on these massage chairs

    • Rumour has it there was an ozbargainer who bought 5!!

That is an exceedingly large number.

I’ve owned two osim feet massagers, one back massages, and a neck massager. They work great but their support is absolutely horrible, both in Australia and Singapore - completely rude and even if you’re in warranty period getting them to fix anything us like extracting teeth. So based on my experience- if you’re dropping that much money on a chair be careful that it doesn’t turn into a heavyweight brick.

      • Thanks for your feedback, I have a couple osim products that work great but never had to call up for support (yet). Sad to hear the after sales support is bad, considering the 'premium' price, and branding. Is the support team based in Australia? I was considering the udivine but if I am to fork out that much I'd expect a standard of service.

Reminds me of the Arlo product range, high price, terrible support- need to be aggressively firm to get stuff resolved.

        • I’ve dealt with support in Malaysia and in Australia. If it gets into the all too hard territory they escalate to Singapore. They accidentally forwarded me their entire chat history and needless to say they have a problem internally of bad mouthing customers and overall lack of professionalism. I would not buy another OSIM product again.

I had an OSIM massage chair over 10 years ago when I lived in Hong Kong. No doubt it was comfortable but the PU leather started to break down after 5+ years.
They are also highly marked up here in Australia. uDivine V Massage Chair is selling HK$22,888 (AU$4,055). uDeluxe Warm Massage Chair HK$19,388 (AU$3,435).

  • it is not a real bargain if this discount runs a year long

Terrible after purchase support with these people.

When you’re buying something this expensive, better get one with good domestic warranty.

    • You know of any brands with good domestic warranty? Would love to get some suggestions

I think anything from Costco, if something goes wrong it’s just a lot easier to deal with Costco (assuming they’re still doing the lifetime refund policy).

  • Any good brands?

    • Inada

  • v massage 🤔

    • something I'm good at………so I've been told.

  • Compared to prices in Singapore and HK, we are getting ripped!

That Throne chair is missing a hole at the bottom, so you can actually do the throne business.

    (sh*t joke, I know).

    • wait till the motor flip back up what you drop in…. (What goes down will go up !) XD

  • OSIM used to be good quality when they leased the technology from Inada and made the chairs in Japan. After they switched to in house tech and Chinese factories the quality dropped big time (and so did the comfort in my opinion).

I made the mistake of buying OSIM a few years ago and would rather buy a Costco knock off (and not pay for celebrity endorsements or high sales commissions). At least the Costco chairs aren't pretending to be something they are not.
