Psychonauts 2 on PS4/5. No physical copies available and first time it’s ever been discounted I believe. Represents a 30% discount.

Good for us Sony players without an Xbox and Game Pass. Follow up to the cult classic from Double Fine.

  Really annoyed this didn't get a proper physical release like it deserves. I'm still holding out that there will be one at some stage. There was a comment from the developer saying they were aware of the interest in a physical release:

  Double Fine had this to say: “There may be paths towards something post-launch but I also can’t make a promise on that either. We’re definitely aware of the interest!”

  I just can't bring myself to spend over $60 on a digital game. If the physical release never happens I will definitely buy this eventually but when it's much cheaper.

    Agree with you fully re physical. I remember scouring the internet for a physical copy on release day and being very confused.

    Mostly though I just want to play the game and support it by buying it. Same problem the original had funnily enough…

  It’s also USD$41.99 (AUD$58.04) via the PSN US Store.

  Quite a few deals for other “Short” games of a similar status like Spider-Man Miles Morales, Sackboy Adventures, Returnal and Marvels Guardians of the Galaxy.

  YMMV on the value.

    The first Psychonauts game is on the PS4 as a PS2 classic - currently $16.45 in Australia but I picked it up for USD$5 from their store a few years back.

    If you run through the story, could be 10 hours, but if you do side missions and look for collectables, it's quite a bit longer. I did a 100% run when it came out and it took about 32 hours.

    Psychonauts 2 is apparently 9-10 hours, to 14 hours average, to 26-33 hours for achievements.

    Typical for a lot of full price games.

    If you don’t have PSVR, there’s a playthrough on youtube which can explain the events, for those looking for backstory. It’s not entirely necessary, you can guess most of it from clues/reveals in the main game.

  Fantastic game, easily my GOTY so far. Easy 15-30hrs of gameplay depending on whether you want to 100% it.
