Yeah , no wonder so cheap because QLC!
Corsair Force MP400 2TB is the same , shorter lifetime and duration.
    Thanks for posting though mate

Truely abysmal sustained write speeds… wow. This is slower than most 1st Gen NVME drives! I would rather have a TLC SATA drive over this kind of garbage!

Good call linking the Tom's Hardware article.. Just to highlight:
"For instance, the QLC version of the drive performs at roughly one-quarter the speed of the original when transferring files, read speeds are half as fast in real-world tests, and sustained write speeds have dropped to USB 2.0-like levels of a mere 40 MBps. That’s slower than most hard drives."

Meaning: you’ll make a mistake if you waste your hard earned money purchasing it! Just buy a normal hdd and save your money!

    • oh shit i didn't realise it was that bad. well glad i didn't buy it.

  • Wow slower speeds than USB 2/mechanical disk.

  • Thanks OP for including the Toms link.

Another company resorting to magically turning tech into useless crap for the sake of a buck.

Agree with one poster on Toms who said: "Micron is pretty foolish for playing games with their brand image."

Indeed they are, and very much so!

  • Too shame, the WD SN550 2TB has run out of stock.

  • Local Amazon stock $205 at the moment.
    Search: Crucial P2 2TB 3D NAND NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD Up to 2400MB/s - CT2000P2SSD8, 2 TB

    • Not local stock (Amazon UK via AU) - still the same as OP's product page, only it dropped to $205.86.

      • Thanks, now I feel a bit sad I ordered wd sn550 at $240 price.
Hopefully, the performance and reliability can justify the $34 difference.

        • The crucial listed is horrible, be glad you spent the extra money to avoid a terrible product

  • How could a modern drive be so crappy?

  • Good price.

  • How are they not in trouble for still advertising at that speed.

Because most people do not care about the sustained write speed. For an average user, it really doesn't matter and the drive is just fine.

  • I have a 10GBPS nvme enclosure. This one shud be good enuf for that, with Samsung T7 like speed?
