    Is it Product of Australia?

Dodgy as voucher says original must be handed over for redemption. Only original accept blah blah blah cake

    • +1

well if you made the bed of self serve checkouts…

    • Good point but still a good first post.

Hey OP - where is this from? How can we get one?

Good luck to anyone trying to use the printed copy, I bet it will work for most of you even at attended registers.

      • I saw a very similar one in the Adelaide Advertiser a week or two ago.
My guess is this is a scanned copy.
        Worth a try I guess

    • +3

      thats why OP suggests…

      self serve checkout

      • +1

so you are suggesting people steal this product then? because the coupon says it must be original under this offer…

        • +1

Ah jv - the serial complainer! LOL!
Its a promotion. They printed vouchers so lots of people will try their product. So many original vouchers will never be used. If we like it we will buy it in the future - the object of the marketing.
Contact the promoter if your conscience is so worried. Any reasonable promoter would get a kick out of a person worried about redeeming a product as theft, even with a copied voucher! It would show their campaign is a success. You may even be mentioned in their next campaign! Fame for jv at last!!

  • what happens with coupons and self-serve? does someone check/take them?

    • No - thats why we use them for this type of deal. No one checks.
Of course, its a matter of trying & see with each voucher.

    • +1

I redeemed a voucher at a Coles self service checkout some months ago, the problem is that the voucher required authorisation by Coles staff. Not sure if Woolies is the same.

  • +1

Definitely says "one use" and a few other conditions that mean I wont be using it.

There is a difference between what is honorable and correct, and what you can slyly get away with.
    Its a personal choice…..

    • +1

The idea is obviously for you to try it and like it. Other than buying more than one it's hard to break the spirit of the promo.

      • +1

When they run these things, they know the maximum amount of yogurt (or whatever is in the promotion) they might be up for due to paper distribution, and then factor in what percentage of people will likely take them up on it.
If a whole bunch of people then print off fake coupons and take the free yogurt, there is a greater chance of more people missing out and being annoyed that Ski ran a promotion it couldn't honour = not as good a promotion.

I guess they might get more exposure than otherwise by being up here, but your logic is shaky at best.

        • To state the obvious again, clearly they think that for each person they provide a free trial they obviously believe the payback in sales will be NET worthwhile.

This coupon was in every major newspaper in every capital city. Do you understand the total circulation of those papers?

If you really think 33 OzBargainers are going to send Nestle broke mate, well clearly my logic is shaky.

  • anyone used it yet? op?

  • +3

This was from The Age on saturday. =)

    • Can you confirm if all the barcodes are the same? Also, is the SMH one the same barcode? Would be a bit of effort to make different barcodes for each copy of the paper, and if different this may cause issues at Woolies system.

  • In smh in Saturday

    • which page is it?

      • Its a sticker on the front page and looks a lot like the picture in this thread.

  • anyone used it yet>

  • I got it from TheAge on Saturday!

  • +1

Used it at Woolies at the self check out.

1st scan purchased the yogurt with lots of other items and got to keep my coupon.

2nd scan with the yogurt only, self check out didn't know what to do since you can't pay for $0.00. Called the staff and had to hand in the coupon.

I believe its originals only (from the newspaper)

Meh, I'm printing it on exercise book paper so yellow that it looks like it came from a news rag. Plus I'm going to make the edges ragged like I tore it out of the paper. LOL.

Hahaha, I see the check box below shows "I work for OzBargain" because the coupon was uploaded. So if a mod comments on this deal and fails to tick this box, can we report them? :)

The original coupon in the paper is glossy and was stuck to a page.
      Looks nothing like newspaper.
I have one stuck to my fridge for when I next go to woolies (from SMH on Saturday).

Yes they all have the same barcode (or at least mine is the same as the picture as far as I can tell), but to be honest if I didn't have the original one I wouldn't print this off and try to use it because it is against the terms of the deal.

Is it really a deal when you're scanning and copying actual coupons?
Would it really be just free money if you print it on a machine?

      • Oh that's a pity, I don't have any old glossy exercise books ;)

wow so much effort for yoghurt … it's prob got heaps of sugar. I never get supermarket yoghurts anymore - best one's come from smaller grocery stores like harris farm. Pay a bit more but worth it for the taste and prob healthier.

      • Not much effort to get the free yogurt, just a lot of talk here.
21.3g sugars/170g tub (13.6%) in the Vanilla Creme. Similar in the prune. Many other brands of flavoured yogurts are similar.
But I don't think too many OBers are too worried, as long as it is free/cheap. They're filling up on HJ Whoppers & fries (like me).
You can always make your own.

Scan voucher over the self serve checkout multiple times to get more than one tub for free.

    It specifically says

"Only one coupon redemption per person is to be permitted"

    and

"Only original coupons will be accepted"

The OP is suggesting people steal this product by using a fake voucher, that is immoral…

    • -6

If it screws Woolies over through the self serve checkouts, it's justice.

  • -7

Works awesome. Just used it 5 times in a row (5 different transactions) at a self serve checkout. It's actually $0.01 not $0.00 but good enough.

    • In my opinion that just sounds bad ~_~"

    • +4

Why stop there? Take the 14-day challenge and ask for a refund from them at the end of it!

      • -3

Got 4 more today. Only 5 away from said challenge :)

you're cheating yourself if you don't….

Hint: don't bother trying Blacktown Woolworths. I've cleaned them out :)

    • +1

Well, if nothing else, you'll have a lot of culture inside you after your spree. :)

    • Hint: keep your greedy activity to yourself, unless you like your comments in shades of gray like jv. Though I assume your probably trolling as well

      • -1

Do I give a shit? I gave a heads up that Blacktown has none left so no-one else wastes their time there. If you want to neg that, good for you.

        • Lol, I wouldn't waste a neg vote on you, even being the dillhole you are, others thought you we're a schmooftie

        • Lay off the dill!

    • +1

Actually lots of people have been cleaning them out, whether with the originals or not who knows. There was only prune flavour left at my local super.

      • With a voucher in all those papers & some people have probably worked out to take them through the self check outs so they can reuse - I'd say it is mainly due to legitimate vouchers.

There was probably little original stock on the shelves anyway. So many brands/types of yogurts, so few of each to fit on the shelves. So it creates an artificial demand - the supermarkets restock based on that demand & possibly reposition fast moving stock for greater prominence - producer is happy. The virtuous circle of marketing.

I cut & pasted printouts back to back, to look like original voucher. Doubt many Woolies staff would realise or bother challenging. Makes up for the vouchers that are now landfill.

        • I figure Nestle paid the newspapers to distribute the inserts and put in the original stipulation so that the newspapers wouldn't worry about copies and losing circulation. But once the inserts went out there were no more originals going out so the newspapers don't care anymore. Woolies is happy for anything that brings shoppers in. Nestle don't care either because they have allocated so many units as promotional samples. In fact they might even be secretly happy for the viral advertising.

        • True, greenpossum. Not only did Nestle need to pay for the marketing campaign, and insert costs for newspapers, but they also paid for printing costs - which we now pay for! I've sent an invoice to Nestle!!!

        • Next time we should get the promo contract & teach them the meaning of OzBargained!!!

  • Plenty on shelves in Brissie as I don't think it was in the paper here.

But I would not pay for this crap - lumpy texture of the Strawberry was horrible - not a good mouthfeel, in my opinion. Low fat does not have to mean a lack of smoothness/creaminess in a dairy product.
But just tried the prune - not bad, and the Vanilla was much creamier but very sweet.
Well Woolies is safe from being Ozbargained by me.
