Camera notifications during the night

Hi all. Just curious what you all use to get notifications during the night if for example your Mrs doesn't want them going off and disturbing her? Do you have like a watch or something that vibrates so only you feel it or a light that's setup next to your bed so it doesn't wake up your partner?
Just curious as I'd love to get notifications if some bastard is outside but don't want them waking up my partner if it's a cat or branches blowing in the wind.
Any help would be great.
Cheers

Sleep near the door in an armchair with a wooden baseball bat.

I use an Amazfit Bip with the "Notify and Fitness" app. That app allows almost any app notifications to come through on the phone, which can be set to vibrate only during specific times. Use it for alarms too.

You're both human, right? Anything that wakes you up from sleep will probably wake your partner as well. Unless you have a type of sense that your partner doesn't have haha

  • I wish with IOS you could have selective notifications during DND.

  • Just set it to turn on the front light when it detects movement

People won't try anything if they see any form of security

    • Lol what a ridiculously wrong generalisation.

      • Well, things would be different in the ghetto…

I’ll give you a few minutes to creepily trawl through my post history as is your wont, and you might actually decipher what my profession is and that I may have an idea of the statistics surrounding break and enters.

          • @Tee Rex Arms: Nah, cbf

So what you're saying is if they want to get in, they're gonna come in, regardless of the OP getting movement notifications…?

@spackbace: its like stealing cars, bikes, caravans … if they want it bad enough they'll get it. Locks, alarms, lights etc wont stop em

@pharkurnell: Which I get, but at the end of the day, are they going to go for the house that looks like it has something to video them or the house with nothing?

I feel like if they were going to break in during the night, while you're home, it's because they know what car is in the garage etc

Silent the notifications. I've got a miband which can vibrate for notifications and meanwhile the phone is silent.
