    • I ordered on 19th and got my tracking info today, they haven't sent it yet but I have hope that it will actually be sent this week which was the main concern with Dell on eBay.

The +$80 is an essential upgrade to go to RTX3050 & 5600H.

      • +1

If you got the tracking number it'll arrive tomorrow. They use startrack next day delivery

        • It says sent from NSW to VIC, would be great to get tomorrow but my money is on Wednesday.

    • I know nothing about computers and looking to get one of these for my old mans 60th. Will either of them play the new Age Of Empires 4 and which laptop is better?

      • If just for age of empires save the $80 and get the cheaper one.

Only advantage of JB is you can walk in and pick it up without having to wait 2-6weeks from dell

Im happy to spend the extra if its a better laptop, just wanted to make sure it would handle a new title

      • +2

the dell ryzen 3050 will kick the intel 1650 to the kerb

      • +2

The G15 AMD is a MUCH better laptop. The only thing I would add is an extra stick of ram after you buy it.

CPU is (up to) 2x faster, GPU is 1.5x faster

    • Would this one be good for school work and gaming?

      • Yes but it is heavier than your average non-gaming laptop.

    • Would this be comparable to a Xbox series x?
      Don’t know much about Laptops

      • +1

No, it would be more comparable to the Series S.

    • That looks like pretty good value! Does anyone know if you this supports video over USB-C? I was wondering whether you could do dual monitor via a hub over USB-C, or if not, then maybe dual monitor using both the USB-C and the HDMI porta?

As an aside, I always get confused around what to look for to know whether a laptop can do video over USB-C or not, let alone dual monitor :(

      • +1

Yeah I have a USB C hub connected to mine with an external monitor plugged in.
Mine is the ryzen edition though

This looks great for the money. Ordered one for my kid today. Thank you for the heads-up.

    • Can anyone guide me about the SSD upgrade? which one I should go for? Thanks

  • +2

Almost got upset that I paid $999 for this, but then realised I got the ryzen version and this was the Intel one.

    Crisis averted.

  • +1

    Is this good?

    • Nope. Get the one direct from dell. It's better

      • Why?

        • +1

Ryzen edition and rtx 3050 is worth the extra $80.

  • Can we play BF 2042 with this one?

  • Any thoughts on this model? https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/334228128271

Don't need a gaming laptop, but want something beyond entry level that would end up as an anchor in 12 months.
