Dollar sign, please? Or we may think we are buying TV futures.

Lol, I was like - what ? Shipped in Oct 2024!?

    • Edit: The dollar sign is now in the title. Ta.

      • Thanks

cmon Sony, makes it 1700 or less

    • I don't think its going to go that low this yr

  • I've got a very poorly light controlled main room (think 3 walls of floor to ceiling windows and westerly sun) and been considering the XR75X95J instead of the XR75X90J as it has an anti-reflective coating. (for some reason the 65 doesn't). That particular model doesn't seem to have gone on special for Black Friday anywhere.

Does anybody have any thoughts on whether the anti-reflective coatings are worthwhile? the Samsung 75 QN85A also seems to have such a coating and is on special this black friday, but since we don't game and my wife watches a lot of free to air, i thought the Sony may be better.

Should i just save a ton of money and get the 90J ?

    • The Sony is better from my research, more likely to get updates as well.

      • Thanks, my thoughts as well.

Should i just get the 90J or should i hang out for a good price on a 95J? $2024 for a 65" 90J is so tempting but rtings review says the 95j anti-reflective coating is pretty good. i just wish it went on special as well.

        • Was released a few months ago in this size, compared to the 900 and 950 H series last yr, the 950 was hardly on sale.
If u wait for the fruit to ripen too much, it gets sour.

I have this exact model. The anti-reflective coating is lacking here for sure - it's occasionally annoying but overall the tv is bright enough to overpower it - and I'm in a lounge room with two walls of big windows. Just don't have lights on behind you when watching at night and you'll be sweet. Awesome TV at this price point.

      • Thanks for your comment, i'm in no hurry so i may just wait for boxing day or another sale on the 95j. My wife loves having all the windows/curtains open and reflections are a major problem for our older tv at the moment. I'm not one to buy TV's very often, so i think i'm better off waiting on the right one.

  • This or X9500H?

    • +2

This. You can see reviews in rtings.

    • 9500 if it's cheaper. just my opinion

      • I don't think you can buy a new X9500H anymore. Happy to be proven wrong.

        • The 65" X9500H has been discontinued. At least according to Sony's website.

  • Good TV - bought on last sale - though I was bummed that they dont have any "time-slip"/ live TV pausing type feature.
For the 3 hours we watch of live TV a year - we miss that the old circa 2012 LG LCD had this - but these don't.

FYI Red Redemption 2 on normal XBOX X (not current) - AMAZEBALLS! - coming from a 2012 LG……

  • if you buy from Sony Store, there is a promotion free voice remote control https://store.sony.com.au/television-spare-parts/RMFTX500PB.… and 2% cash back from shop back

    • $1998 in my case

    • They were out of stock. I think sony 65 inch stock coming at the end of the month.

    • 4% cash back through cash rewards.

Possibly a price match with costco at 1,999.99
