So why are you even bothering to turn up to a post like this?

Some people like instant coffee for the convenience, same with these machines.

Horse for courses, or coffee for the rest of us.

then they should stick with instant. Espresso machines are alot of work to take care and time, to clean and maintain, even with this automated system. All I was stating was if they want to get the best out of there espresso they need to actually learn how to do it manually to get the best out of it.

        • So are you saying that fresh beans from this kind of machine would be worse than drinking instant?

          • -1

@victinini: if you read it word of word you will understand it. instead of making assumptions. You can still make a bad espresso even with good fresh beans, its not just the beans that counts its all the other factors. A fully automated machine will only do what its programed to do, it won't go beyond that. The only good thing is that you will get a consitantly bad, or average espresso out of it. Having complete control over a machine is night and day when it comes to the world of espresso.

            • @kungfuman: I did read what you wrote, and I asked the question because you didn't address it directly. And you still haven't. Would instant coffee taste better than coffee that comes out of this machine?

              • @victinini: I did answer it, it all depends on the settings, and the person that makes it. it is possiable to make a bad coffee that tastes like instant or worse on any machine. If the person operating it stuffs it up or has no clue how to use the machine it will make a bad coffee, no matter what machine you use.

@kungfuman: So we are back to square one. The coffee is only as good as the "barista" no matter if its instant or from a professional machine.

Now what was the pointless comment you were originally trying to make?

Dont buy an automated machine if you are a great Barista, if not you should just make a cuppa tea instead as you shouldnt be playing with coffee.

                  Snobs dont like non snobs.

Do you really think people to look at this post want or have that much time to do a perfect coffee? What is a perfect coffee anyway? The way the person like it is good enough.

      • -3

Coffee not made right is just rubbish not worth drinking. it takes time to make a good coffee no matter the brewing method if you want a quick solution then you will get rubbish coffee as a result of it its pretty simple as that. If people don't want to learn to make a good coffee then by all means continue to drink rubbish coffee. But for the people that really want to learn this stuff and make a coffee that is amazing, then this automated machine is not the way to go.

I'm hoping they'll be a sale on the Lattego 4300. Fingers crossed 🤞

    • Am adding that to my wish list too

  • Are the other models available?
Looks like they are all out of stock.

    • There is also the Series 2200 latteGo for $575 with automatic milk frother but as far as I can tell only does cappuccinos.

  • Thanks. I think the new level up might be better for me.

    • Link?

  • Still waiting for the Breville Barista Pro

  • Have been keeping any eye on these super autos. Kind of want to wait until they sell the 5400 here as it does something extra that I like, but guess they are having trouble stocking them in other countries as well.

If anyone is looking for something comparable to the 5400, would probably be the Gaggia Magenta Prestige, though it is a bit more expensive.
