  • Battery is a bit small?

This vs. 16" Ideapad Slim Pro 5?

    • The Slim has better build quality, but does not have a 3060 option due to being more thermally constrained. This IdeaPad is a mainstream gaming laptop.

      • Hmm…I've been wanting the slim for a while but a 2 month+ shipping is a bit shit.

  • And watch out that this model has a TGP of 90W, instead of the higher model Lenovo Legion 5 which has a TGP of 130W.

  • The IdeaPad Slim 5 Pro Gen 6 16" for $1587.53 with these upgraded specs is nice if anyone is interested:

    Processor : AMD Ryzen™ 7 5800H (8C / 16T, 3.2 / 4.4GHz, 4MB L2 / 16MB L3)

    Memory : 16GB Soldered DDR4-3200 (SDP)
Solid State Drive : 512GB SSD M.2 2280 PCIe NVMe
    Display : 16.0" WQXGA (2560x1600) IPS 350nits Anti-glare, 120Hz, 100% sRGB

    Wireless : 11ax, 2x2
    Battery : Integrated 75Wh
Power Cord : 135W Slim Tip

    • Thats the one I wanted buy shipping time is > 2 months.

      :(

      • Yeah, same. I'm going overseas on Dec 27 and I want it by then, but obviously, that won't be possible.

        • Dude is this more for gaming use?

  • Was told by CSR adding a new ram stick will avoid warranty… and the 32G version is not available

    • +2

Unfortunately what you are saying is incorrect. Upgrading RAM , SSD or Wifi card does not void your warranty or statutory rights in Australia. It is the manufacturers responsibility to prove that you broke the laptop, and it no longer functions like it originally did.

Ask the CSR what country they are located and if they know Australian consumer law.

If you don't know how to upgrade the RAM just follow a guide like the one below for the IdeaPad gaming.
