Modem Router for nbn Fibre to The Node Connection?

I'm confused what I need for this internet type. I haven't had it before? I've had a black NBN box in the past and just plugged the router into it.

This time the connection activated instantly, noone had to come to site and no black box provided!

Standard FTTN compatible modem and plug it straight into the phone line.

nbn never made a VDSL2 modem for each FTTN property and you have to source your own VDSL2 modem. Did your ISP send you one?

The nbn box that is black is only compatible with HFC.

    • No ISP didn't unfortunately

Look for a ISP plan in a contract that supplies you a Free modem/router with like a 6month or 12 month plan contract @ a decent price

I know it's a lot to look at. I like ASUS or Netgear, personally.

  • I just reused my old cheap crap router from my previous ISP, as superloop wanted to charge $150 for another newer version cheap crap. You can just change the previous one to bridge mode and take your time looking for a suitable unit if you have an old VDSL2 router lying around…
