    How on earth is this MSRP $280? Even at this 60% off price I'm not particularly excited vs other discounted sets this time of yr.

        Awful set @ 280. Perhaps for you, as a reseller, this is a buy, but not for me (as a builder w/kids).

          I bought it for my kids. I don't think it ever sold for $280, it was actually $189, and I think for $113 it's a good buy. Plus it includes a tram which is super cool especially if you're from Melbourne.

      Lego Australia deliberately over price a set or two each year, which then become the 'deep discounted' sets during black friday sales. The Friends boat received the same treatment last year.

          I suspect there's some deal with Ford as the non-US markup on the Raptor is unlike other Lego sets. The EU price is also nuts vs the US.

      I doubt it - it's more likely Amazon just didn't have many in stock. This wasn't a planned promotion for them, they are just price matching Target.

        They had 225 units when I checked… and I could add them to the cart, but I think they changed the limit to 3 shortly after.

          225 is nothing. That would be about 1 per store for Kmart or 1.5 sets per store for BigW. Scalpers might have bought some sets but it's entirely possible that this was just normal customers buying one each.

      I was initially buying 1 at a time for the lovely AMZ box then had to go over them to get the Santa .
