    • Hi TA, cash back is eligible for Ipad Pro M1?

    Lol ineligible on everything?

At least Airpod 3 and AirTag are not ineligible :)
Both Airpod 3 and AirTag can also get $35 bonus gift cards

      • +1

I guess not. The terms are different. The new terms 26/11 say they are excluded. Cash rewards have updated these in the click on terms, but not on the front page terms. Oh well!

        • seems like its the same for https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/666890

        • it does exclude Air Tag but doesnt seem to exclude Airpod3?

IMPORTANT - These products & services are ineligible for cashback until further notice (updated 26/11/21): Apple AirTag & AirTag Hermès, iPad Pro M1, iMac 24” M1, 8th Gen iPad, Pro Display XDR, Gift Cards, Gift Wrap, iTunes, Shipping, Apple Developer Programs, AppleCare products purchased individually or after the applicable product has been shipped.

          • @donny donny: I found your post confusing.

For reference, Cashrewards does not exclude AirTag (ie. they are discounted).

Shopback does not include AirTag (ie. they are not discounted).

The terms you've copy/pasta'd is the ShopBack terms.

            • @tommypickles: No the terms which @donny donny has pasted is correct (These terms are from "Apple Offers & Coupons" section on cashrewards page). Its actually bit confusing from cashrewards page. If you open this https://www.cashrewards.com.au/apple?coupon=cashback-capped-… the terms which is on top is different than what is mentioned inside "Apple Offers & Coupons" section.

              • +1

@chauhanmahesh: But in either terms, looks like CR didn't exclude Airpods 3, so I believe it is still eligible?

                • @littlesoldier: I am interested in Apple Watch series 7 which is excluded in one term but not mentioned in another. So confusing.

                • @littlesoldier: I confirmed with TA AirTags qualify no problem

              • @chauhanmahesh: omg you're right — I apologise. that is incredibly frustrating, either an oversight by Cashrewards (I hope) or worse, misleading. I wouldn't have thought to click that section to expand given the leading body description has a date, clear conditions — nor the side panel on tips. Very annoying.

                  • @tightarse: @tightarse ah nuts, I got spooked and missed the deal. I hope cashback comes back, I’m ready to buy again :(

                    • @tommypickles: We have Apple on 4.5% uncapped and 6% uncapped for CR Max members until the 29th if that helps :)

Why don't they just make a list on what IS eligible? (oh wait, that doesn't sound as impressive)

  • Cashback is eligible on purchases paid with gift cards - does that mean they will cashback 8% of the total inclusive of amount paid with gift cards?

  • Lol. So a “special” discount only on old stock

  • Cashback now increased to 8.5% to match ShopBack

  • why 2-7 days now? wasn't cashback tracking like 15mins after purchasing

  • Just wondering, will this only work with the standard education site or will it also work with the AOC education site?

  • The exclusions and the naming of the ipads are getting a bit confusing. I assume Ipad Air is still eligible for cashback?

    • +1

      Exclusion list only have
      8th Gen iPad (10.2" 2020 model)
      9th Gen iPad (10.2" 2021 model)
New iPad Mini (8.3" 2021 model)

So I believe is a yes?

      • I just bought the iPad M1 a few hours ago and they just updated the exclusion list, wtf?

IMPORTANT - These products & services are ineligible for cashback until further notice (updated 26/11/21): Apple AirTag & AirTag Hermès, iPad Pro M1, iMac 24” M1, 8th Gen iPad, Pro Display XDR, Gift Cards, Gift Wrap, iTunes, Shipping, Apple Developer Programs, AppleCare products purchased individually or after the applicable product has been shipped.

        • What I would do is to do a screenshots on the terms page
and DM CR if its not being tracked
I have engaged with CR before and there are times that they will manually grant the CB if it's their fault

Its Apple so the worst case is to return the product

  • Noob question. I know the deal says you are still eligible for cashback if paying using gift cards but can we also use the balance on our Apple ID account to pay and still get this cashback?

    • Good question.
I just paid using the apple ID balance. Will let u know if it does track

      • What I actually did was paying whole amount -$1
eg. Airpods 3 is $279, I paid $278 using apple ID balance, and $1 using ANZ credit card (for Max)
Will see if I get the 10.5% LOL

        • Haha…that's cheating. CR is smarter than that I am sure

      • Thanks!

      • Hey mate,

Any update on whether you got it to track?

        • Heard nothing yet

  • Is this eligible if you buy through Education Union?

    • Those are considered as EPP store I believe
      So unlikely

most likely only apple or apple EDU store will be eligible

  • is this eligible for Ipad Pro 12.9 M1?

  • why has cap? shopback doesnt have

    • SB doesn't let u pay with GC

  • +1

Crap didn't know you could stack with gift cards so I didn't click cashrewards when I bought my apple watch this morning. Urgh missed out on about $40. Welp I sure learnt my lesson

    • Cancel and wait for Monday as cyber Monday might reapply

  • Does anyone know if the education pro apps bundle is eligible? It's software + on the education site

    https://www.apple.com/au-hed/shop/product/BMGE2Z/A/pro-apps-…

  • thanks op, just bought an M1 iPad Pro 11", hope it tracks!

  • Thank cr I bought an iPhone 11 in the end for my husband. I hope this offer will repeat on Cyber Monday as I want to get Apple Watch se for me

  • My cashback for the purchase of a iPad Pro 11 was calculated on the purchase amount after deduction of the $140 Apple gift card rebate resulting in $12 less cashback than expected.

Could somebody point out the gift card rebate exclusion clause in the terms and conditions?

    • Where do you check the cashback ?
      I couldn't find anywhere.

  • As per my understanding and expectation, the amount eligible for cashback should have been $1090 ($1199 less 10% GST).

I just got an email from CR saying amount tracked was actually $962.73. CR has deducted the $140 from the purchase price ($140 Apple gift card sent separately post purchase) to arrive at $962.73.

    • How come yours got tracked so quickly. I had to wait another 6 days before I can check with them

      • Luck of the draw.

    • Same, tracked amount is ex GST after deducting the bonus gift card value

    • +2

Yeah same happened here, feel a bit mislead and it seems more on apple than on CR. For some reason Apple charged me in 2 transactions, they charged me $114 and then another $35 transaction for the gift card. So it looks like Apple basically deducted the gift card amount off the price and charged us that amount and then charged us for the gift card (gift cards aren't eligible for cashback)

      • Yep, same here. They are not the biggest hedge fund for no reason

      • Not very up front of them - feel like I got ripped

  • @cogitator @littlesoldier
So just to confirm when we buy, we pay full amount and then the giftcard will be sent via email?
Somehow i thought they will deduct on the checkout….
Any of you used part payment from Apple account balance? Or can we load more than 1 gift card at checkout?

    • I paid in full amount (using Apple credit balance + credit card)
The gift card is sent separately to your apple ID email

If you didn't receive the giftcard
you can login to this URL: https://secure2.store.apple.com/au/shop/order/list
There should be an item called "Apple Gift Card by Email (Special Offer)"

      • ah thanks, i will do the same load giftcards to apple accounts. well, not sure what can i dot with the giftcard i dont play games or buying apps, but lets see hopefully it doesnt have expiry date

  • Yep so bought 2 MacBooks they used the the gift card for both of them which I was planning to use for something else not happy of course that reduces the cash back too 🙄

  • I bought ipad pro 11 M1. They charged complementary gift card cost on me in addition to 1199.
It supposed to be free. Did anyone get the same issue
