Was looking for cheap high capacity drive from a reputable brand and I think this is cheapest 256gb USB 3.2 drive.

I can't find any reviews about write speeds but I saw 128gb model with 80mbs read and 30mbs write so I would expect 256gb would be a bit faster

Features & details
Large loop easily attaches to key rings
Practical cap protects the USB plug
Multiple colour options by capacity
Backed by a five-year warranty, free technical support and legendary Kingston reliability

From the reviews, looks like it's not the fastest USB drive on earth. Also, when they don't even claim a speed, just put "Speed USB 3.2 Gen 1 speeds" then it's a pretty good sign it's gonna be awful.

    • The USB 3.2 Gen 1 means the USB 3.0. Quite confusing

      • But more so, the link speed is irrelevant if the flash speed can't read and write that fast.

Slow as hell as an 256G usb

  • I saw this YouTube video for 128gb variant and speed seems acceptable:

I assume 256gb should be a little better I hope.
