Dealextreme is the only place to buy bikelights.

    • Haven't tried their lights, but those couple that I've got from eBay have pretty much fallen apart or cracked within a week. Granted, I have bought some of the very cheapest ones for the kids, but the way the plastic mounting points just fall apart is not even funny. Are Dealextreme ones decent quality?

      • I may have been lucky but mine have survived everything (owned for 1.5 years now), the cree bike lights are excellent value for money.

      • I agree with Sirocco, as long as you stick with already reviewed good torches at DX you can't really go wrong. The Cree XM-L T6 based torches they sell go for around 20-40$ and are great value for money. Even the older ones are too, my 8$ Cree Q3 Based is still going strong after about a year.

XM-L with 4x18650 li-ion pack and charger for $41. Incredible brightness and value.
Add a AA-powered Cree on your helmet, or a torch on the handlebars for redundancy.

I'm not sure DX are so good for decent quality rear lights. The ones I got were not so good.
e.g. go off after a hard bump, or easily broken mount.

      CRC have better prices:

  • Is there much difference between the Cygolite and the Niterider? I notice that the Niterider is more expensive but not as bright as the Cygolite.

Does anyone have any experience with Tioga bike lights? e.g. the Tioga light pack or Tioga deluxe light pack?

    • Also looking at the Tioga Deluxe Light Pack (inc Tioga Deluxe - 3 Watt front Light and the Tioga .5 - Half watt flashing rear light), and would like to hear any comments, please?
