      • I think it’s only for new users…could be wrong though…

    These are cheap Chinese crap.

    • Can you get one from the UK now?

    • How do you know?

Vietnam produces the highest portion of Doc Martens (39%), China is lower (32%} and England is the lowest (1%).

They could also be made in Laos, Thailand or Bangladesh.

Don't forget 7.5% cashback via shopback..

Yep….I almost did but backed out of the sale and went through ShopBack…👍

  • Trying to understand why would anyone choose these over leather ones, other than religious prohibitions.

    • From the research that I have done online there are two reasons.

      one price and
      two durability.

Apparently these are very long wearing and stay looking newer longer than a lot of the leather boots too. But I fully appreciate it’s personal choice

    • Dr Martens are no longer proper work boots. The greater abrasion resistance of leather doesn’t really matter when you’re out clubbing.

They're mostly worn by female teens now, what work boots?

        • +1

Initially they were advertised as gardening shoes for older women. But in the 1960s they started being marketed to factory workers in England.

No need to worry about the Durex deal if you're considering getting these.

Dr Martens regularly get trashed in reviews. Apparently, they’re now cutting corners everywhere. Cheap materials and a careless construction that makes re-soling these all but impossible.

So they’re a fashion statement, alright. But just don’t hope for them to last when the going gets tough (pun intended).

    • Why would you try resole nylon upper?

    • at $70/135 u get ehat u pay for. used to be $200+ years ago. seems they sold out

Good shoes to attend an anti vaccination rally. Maybe with a shaved head and suspenders for the full effect
