Got one on a previous sale for $419. They are beautiful, absolutely love them, also so precise it hurts. I had a mechanical watch before and swear I'll never buy another one due to maintenance they require for an abysmal precision they provide.

There're a few downsides though. Timer minute dial is almost useless being so small. 1/10s dial is also obviously not so useful.

What's with the 2 downvotes for @srr on their experience with the watch?

Nice quartz watches make some mechanical snobs really insecure for some reason.

Their loss, these are very cool.

yeah …. i wear my seamaster quartz (no longer made) in preference to my auto …. i really like solar watches now, followed by quartz.
argument used to be that if you open dive watches for battery change the cost of pressure test vs auto that doesn’t need to be opened …..solar in dive watches has fixed that, don’t need to open, accurate.

bought a good case opener and now do own battery changes on the battery quartz watches i own ….. i do enjoy just pickup a watch, no need to set the time and leave the house

it’s a big watch ..would have pulled the trigger if it was the metal band version at this price ….. cheaper to later swap to leather or nato than try and get a factory stainless band …

Glad someone posted this, picked one up the other day - really looking forward to it. Amazing accuracy w the high-frequency movement. Does anyone have any good strap options? The ones that come with the brushed model look a little "meh" quality and fit wise?

    • with the high frequency, what is the battery life like ?

      • 2 years minimum. Plenty of reports of 3+ years though.

    • Not being a smartarse, but genuinely curious, what is the practical use of a high level of accuracy?

        1. Not having to set your watch every few days like some watches.
        2. Knowing exactly when Sale of the Century is on.
        3. Celestial navigation.
        4. Timing the descent burn on the Lunar Module.
