Are you sure it's Australian made?
It'd cost at least twice the rrp.

LOL @ Australian made. OP is dreaming!

It'd cost at least twice the rrp.

      Precisely.

      • My bad quick google shows Euromaid is Australian owned company that I confused with made in Australia. Updated now.

I have a vague memory of Hoover making a front load washing machine in their Meadowbank factory donkey's years ago. Could be wrong though.
Australia does not manufacture any washing machines or refrigerators domestically anymore. Simpson and Electrolux washers and dryers are all made in Thailand. Chef & Westinghouse (also owned by Electrolux) still make their ovens and freestanding cookers in Adelaide, and I think they also export them overseas.
The Euromaid brand is now owned and serviced by Glen Dimplex Australia, so at least you should get decent warranty and aftersales service

Can confirm it's Australian made. I work in this magical factory. Ask me anything.

  • How do you know is made in Australia?

  • what parts are made in australia? the cord?

    • The delivery label on the box?

  • I think this is OEMed by Beko or Beko's parent company based on the design of the detergent tray. Same for Altus as well - they all share the same part with just a different brand printed on it.

    • Yes, if you look at the users manual it's got an almost identical layout to that of a Beko and I also don't know who else makes appliances in Turkey.

They've got a few other things that appear to be rebadged Bekos as well.
