Mid-range Philips air purifier that is part of Black Friday sales.

I personally own one of these - it's useful for detecting and addressing strong smells in the air (e.g. from pollution, cooking, or insect spray) but not so much for removing dust from the air. After three years of use, I have yet to replace the filters.

I bought this from last year's deal. Was about $300 - a bit cheaper. I found it is useful in reducing hay fever allergy reaction. It saved my life this year. LOL

  • How long does the filter last before you have to replace? The filters are about $80 aren’t they?

  • Does it use HEPA filter?
$300 seems expensice as compared to the xiaomi one

  • Will buy this new model if $350 on next Prime Day or Black Friday Sale.

  • Got this one last June for $299. Good for detecting/removing smell from cooking and it’s easy to clean the filters. Nice night light too and great sleep mode.

  • I have the xiaomi air purifier but it feels like the pollens this year is pretty bad causing myself to suffer from hay fever badly.

For a medium sized bedroom, is this too big or should i buy model 1000.

  • This vs the Xiaomi Purifier 3 or the Dyson range?

Harvey is charging 84.95 and 64.95 for the hepa and carbon filters on these. i buy mine from aliexpress for 25 and 30. same filters fit like a glove.

other stores on there will sell both for cheaper. just search the model AC2887

  • Just bought this yesterday at jb by price matching. Used gift cards received from one of those telstra sign up deals.

  • I own this and a xiaomi 3h and I personally prefer the xiaomi. I like how I can connect it to my phone and set timers and stuff or remotely start it with Google or Alexa. The filters are more affordable too and only need 1 piece to replace which makes it more economical.

The 2 replaceable filters can be purchased at around 50ish if on sale on Amazon as far as I remember.

    • Glad to hear this! I wasn't sure which one to go with but settled on the Xiaomi 3H in the end.

  • I ordered Philips Series 2000 this morning, then I decided to cancel the order and buy xiaomi air purifier pro h instead for a similar price, approx 40 bucks dearer.
Not sure if I made the right decision, I am sure Philips is good, but it seems xiaomi model is more powerful and effective.

  • Although a different product to this, Philips have had their cpap machines recalled due to foam degradation in the blower boxes.
