Looks like 2x whopper Jnr and chips price is going up 70c

    • +7

      Inflation

Let’s hope our wages go up 10% too

      • they removed the best deal = 2 Bacon Tamers for $21 smdh

        • and the 8 burgers
          mega/feast bundle $35
          2x Whopper,
          2x CB
          2x Chicken royale/Tendercrisp,
          4x sml Drinks,
          18x nugs,
          Sauce

    • +1

Damn. I used to get these all the time in 2018 when the price was lower. Crazy good value back then. How do we think these compare now?

      • +9

It's been terrible since it went from $5.65 in mid 2019 to $7.25 by the end of 2019. Before that I was eating it once a week for lunch, decided to look after my health at least a little bit and grab a woolies qtr chicken + whatever discounted salad they had instead (up until the great WFH experiment again and "I forgot to bring lunch I'll buy it" excuse stopped working).

        • +3

I also feel like I had it almost every week. Loved it.
Have you found anything else to fill that sub-$6 fast food convenience? I have been fond lately of the $4.95 fill up at KFC

          • +3

@DiscountForThee: Gave up on fast food entirely and either go woolies or little places for pho, curry or sushi to keep it under $10. Well, when I’m in the office, a rarity for the past 18 months.

          • +1

@DiscountForThee: Could get something like a Zinger burger on its own + chips and drink from survey.

          • @DiscountForThee: Yeah the fill up with voucher is great value.

          • +3

            @DiscountForThee: $5 for 6in Subway sub
            $3-$5 Domino's sml/med value pizza
            $4.95 red rooster lunch
            $5 chicken treat lunch

            • @PeppaPigDidNthngWrng: Thanks for this list! I get all of these semi-frequntly except for the last two. There's no red rooster close to where I live or work, and no Chicken Treat in my city either. Such a same, they look delicious!

              • +2

@DiscountForThee: If you are near a Costco, the hot dog, drink and slice of pizza for $5 has had me hooked for 10 years now. Pricing has never changed.

                • @Nos 4r2: My waistline is lucky I don't live near an IKEA or a Costco. Those cheap hotdogs are my weakness

  • +2

The 2*whoppers have also gone up from $9.45 to $9.95, and the bacon&egg muffin+hash brown from $3.95 to $4.25.

  • +9

    is phone ok?

    • +15

      Phone is fine

    • +4

      But who was phone?

    • +18

Thoughts are with phone, hope he's ok

      • From what I can see I think phone is fine

    • +1

Phone called and said phone is lonely please call phone.

  • +7

Onion rings are $2.95, up from $2.

    Time to switch to salads.

  • +1

Bacon & egg Muffin and hashbrown has gone up 20cents :/

  • +3

These deals suck. BBQ cheeseburger, small chips and drink is only $2 when you use a survey code!!

  • +1

including $7 bacon deluxe small meal.

For those not aware, the current $6 Bacon Deluxe & medium Coke app deal is better, as you could just add on a small chips for $1. I guess that's about to be replaced by this $7 deal.

  • +3

They got rid of the coffee in the breakfast meal and completely killed it slowly. Hash browns are normally a dollar and can easily be won on shake n win. So you're getting a muffin for $4.25.

    • +3

If it ain't the Jack's coffee barista it isn't worth getting anyways. The coffee from the machines are horrendous.

      • I have found their coffee varies from store to store. Never amazing, but some store's coffee is outright appalling.

    • Yeah, pretty bad. Ideally, with them promoting the Jack's Cafe, it should have stayed. Anyway, I agree their Baristas are no "Baristas". They're the same guys who were working on the machine coffee earlier (and made it pretty bad anyway). I doubt if they've been given any kind of Barista training. Also, the milk is horrendous sometimes - it tastes like …. eegh bad water. I'll never pay for a coffee at "Jack's Cafe". The Shake N Win prizes also rarely give out a coffee these days.

      • I got 8 burner accounts. Normally I jag one. Then most of the time they stamp my loyalty card when I pick up, so it works out that one the days I strike out on the app I typically have a free coffee on loyalty coupon.

      • +1

jack cafe still taste like pond water

        • Pond water may be better.

Just google hungry Jack’s vouchers and you’ll get the PDF version

Those are the old vouchers. Don't worry, ozbargain users are always ahead.

        Hey Savas
        You are back!!! 😁😁

        Hope you are going well.

        • +2

Thanks so much! I am very well.. how are you?

          • +1

            @Savas: Been ok.
I'm surprised i didnt notice you were back sooner. Clearly I'm not spending enough time on ozb!

            • +2

@gimli: hahaha, I have like only commented on 10 posts. You noticed very fast!

              Why are you only ok?

              • +1

@Savas: Haha. I thought that OK would slip by unnoticed. Fair question. (Thanks for asking)
                Average week/month.
                Nothing specific.

All in all been pretty good big picture wise. :)

      • +1

        Where did you go Savas?

        • +1

I just spent too much time on ozbargain and didn't really need to buy anything. i should've at least logged in occasionally but somehow never got around to it.

          how have you been?

    • +1

      Expires tomorrow

      • I must be missing something , those vouchers expire 29/11/21 ?

  • +6

Where is the 2x Bacon Deluxe for $9.95 gone?!

    • +4

      yah this is fuct

it sounds like its a "negative profit centre" for hjs as we say in the IT world

    • +2

Literally was the only worthwhile thing with these coupons.

Guess I'll be living healthier at least now then, no 2x bacon deluxe deal no reason to step foot in the store.

      • +2

        this

i will still go back for two whoppers w/ cheese for $10.50 etc.

        • +2

If you're referring to the 2 Whoppers with cheese for $9.95 deal, that's now gone too, sadly.

    • +1

      It'll come back next batch @ $10.95 I bet.

Take it off for 1 cycle so people forget about the pricing.

  • +2

Onion rings have gone up by 95cents in a single coupon!

  • +1

Its crazy how much the prices changed over the past couple years.

I remember the 2 Whoppers for 6 dollars during Tafe lunch days.

    • +2

yeah its crazy how comapared to maccas, hj is more expensive now

the coupons from memory use to be the same or cheaper than maccas before (~ talking about over a decade ago)

      • +1

I don't know.. Maccas is getting crazy expensive I think… and their burgers are shrinking smaller and smaller… plus they treat you like a second class citizen if you go into the store compared to driving through..

        • for example

maccas has two big mac meals on the app for $8 from time to time

Hungry jacks 2 whoppers for $9.95 ( NO DRINK OR CHIPS)

I like drive thru, i reckon its quicker than go in

    • couple of years? the amount it goes up in just 6 months is insane.

      • +2

It's funny how we worry about hashbrowns going up 20 cents and a burger 70 cents while a falling down 90year olds 1970 rotting interior house is going for around 1.5 million minimum in outer suburbs of melbourne and sydney. What's going on in the world!?

        • Covid, QE, Low interest rate, Inflation.

        • Bubble

        • Someone should send this page to the RBA who don't see any inflation.

  • Noooooooooooooooooooo
725 to 795 for 2 whopper jrs and chips

    • +1

When this voucher first came out it was $4. Dayum.

  • +2

    This doesn't excite me anymore

    • +5

      you are now an adult.

  • 2x whopper meals for 13.95 is now 2 whopper cheese and 2 drinks, no chips at all.

  • not surprising how the cost of beef has gone up at the butchers …. i know steak has gone up more tthen 10% in the last year …

  • These prices don't even make sense.
Buy a BBQ cheeseburger for $2, a small fries for $1. Leaving the small drink to be worth $2? Just buy a frozen coke for half that.

Comparing to McDonald's a happy meal with cheeseburger, small fries and OJ costs $4.95. Hungry Jack's costs $6.35.

    • … it never occurred to me that you can get a small cheeseburger meal cheaper as a happy meal than ordering it direct. Is that right?

      • +1

McHappy meal is cheaper than getting a small cheeseburger meal. Plus you get a toy of that is of any bonus to you

      • +1

Not only that, but you can get swap for orange juice or shake free of charge :)

Happy meals also come in snack wrap varieties too. If they insist on adding a toy, I ask for a book so I can recycle.

        • +1

Err. Do you get any funny looks when you do this? I guess less than the 80c meatless cheeseburger idea?

Although I'm totally going to do this regardless, this is game changing for me.

          • +1

@Ezuku: I regularly get the server repeating the order number to make sure that yes, I ordered a happy meal with no kid in sight. They never say anything though. I see a lot of Asians (generally more frugal) ordering happy meals and that's what caught my interest, so I don't even reckon it's that uncommon.

            Happy to help out :)

  • +1

Is it just me or is it the same crap on every coupon brochure they bring out? All I want is a cheap cheeseburger or double cheeseburger!

    • +1

all i want is a cheap whopper meal and they offer 2 x whoppers so that i need to buy chips and drink if i don’t have a receipt handy …..

      • They've had a $6 Whopper meal (small) for a while now on the app.

  • +2

Whoever posts these deals from now on needs to find a deal for kleenex to go with it… The melts.

  • The $7 sml bacon deluxe meal is actively worse than the current bacon deluxe+med coke for $6 and adding on sml fries for $1 (on app)

  • +1

I tried their new fried chicken burger they other day. it was pretty decent but quite expense. wish they had vouchers for the fried chicken burgers.

    • you just explained why they dont do deals on it lol. If its good, you won't get it cheap - HJ

  • +3

The burgers are dearer at Hungry Jacks.

  • +1

Hungry Jacks has been consistently increasing their prices… They barely ever change up their menu, and expect us to buy more overpriced burgers.

    When will this STOP!! :)

    • +1

You're worried about 5-10 buck burgers while houses prices just went up 20% to 1.5 million minimum lol

      • "Every Buck Counts" - Chicken Little, 2005

        • If only it did these days. You can go to sleep and a house goes up 20 grand. Good system

  • -8

    2x brekky $8.45… OMG… loved the old deals…
