  • I bought one of these Coleman Instant up 10 Person Gold Series tents and went camping with the kids. After more than two hours of trying I finally got the tent up, though it wasn't looking correctly up like the picture does. I was so frustrated with the experience that I sold it. I didn't have experience of putting a tent like that up before, but I wouldn't call it 'instant up'.

  • Fits 2 Queen Airbeds .. where do the other 6 adults go?

They are instant-up the second time though once you know how to do it. Best instruction is the youtube videos. I can put our up alone in less than 5 minutes - the tent itself not including the pegs / ropes which probably takes another 10.

  • We have the 6P silver which in reality is ideal for 2 people with a full height airbed and some internal space.
Holds up well even in rain and wind. Nice strong floor too (we always put down an ultramesh floor underneath for extra protection).
This has the blackout material which is a nice feature

2021 property sorted, now I need a deal on bed and pillow

  • These aren't marketed as darkroom, but do they have similar qualities? I note the symbol on the outer canopy.
Was tossing up this vs the 10p Darkroom (the flouro green one)

the 10p northern light darkroom seems to be best. it have 3000mm rain protection.
i have 8p gold before and the 10p darkroom from bcf is good. but it have 2000mm and take less wind load..

      • Thanks
Might have to have a bit better look in person
The northstar 10P just looks so wide at 6m or so.
On paper I prefer the 4.3m x 3m of the gold

If you prefer that gold - look at northstar 8p
