Not a bargain. Gerry Harvey seems so out of touch.

Tf101 is fairly obsolete compared to the Asus lineup.
So to sell at such a high price is almost offensive.

I am not sure where you can find 3G MODEL WITH KEYBOARD DOCK for less than $500 at the moment.please note that we are not talking about WI-FI MODEL here.

      • -6

        this model is pretty old

this is like getting the ipad 1..

        • +6

I believe the TF101 has a Tegra2 processor. The relevant comparison (if one can be made) would be with the iPad 2.

        • -1

if the Pad 2 was unavailable with 3G maybe…

        • -1

i mean in terms of generation of asus models

this is like the ipad 1

then the transformer prime is like ipad 2

and soon there will be the transformer infinity..

        • +1

And I mean your comparison is short sighted at best.

You can't get 3G on the Prime, and the TF101G came out way after the normal TF101.

    • When did it arrive (available for sale locally in AU)?

PS Didn't people pay ~$ 450 for this one's WiFi only counterpart in REFURBISHED condition, a while back?

  • I think the better way to get -lotsa- 3G data for -both- an Android tan -and- some more for your Android phone is with a 3G to WiFi access point.

    Virgin's half-price-for-5-months (of a 12-mon $29, $39, eyc. plan) is on (includes 3G to WiFi box).

So, get a cheaper Android tab & a mobile-WiFi box like that & save.

After asll, a 3G tab alone might not be able to share its connection via WiFi…

If I had the spare $$, I'd go this deal, but only to if it comes with the ancient 3.x versionof Android… ver 4.02 ICS -broke- EchoLink on one of our TF101's.

i would rather put my $ into http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/66337

+150 for wifi only version 32gb Transformer Prime w/ dock.

    • -1

Well yeah spec-wise, Transformer prime (TF201) is better than original transformer (TF101). However, many users have reported WIFI and GPS problem, and also frequent reboot/crash problems with their prime. In my opinion TF101 is a more stable version but with older technology compared to the prime (TF201). So the choice is yours.

Or..just wait for transformer infinity (TF700)…but don't expect low price or big discount for that. :)

Would have been a great bargain 6 months ago.
But would happily forfeit the 3G and dock for the TF201 instead at this price.

  • What is the Acer A200 like?
