Rotring Tikky Mechanical Pencil 0.7mm $5 + Delivery ($0 in-Store/ C&C/ Metro with $55 Order) @ Officeworks

101

Available in a variety of colours. May not be at your closest store. I had to order and click and collect mine.

Bought one of these the other day just because it was cheap but didn't realise at the time that it was a good deal. I didn't know it was a good brand at a good price. Anyways, thanks to the earlier deal I am now highlighting these.

Mechanical pencil? I call these pacers..

    • +13

      Pacer is a brand.
A bit like calling tissues "a Kleenex".

Also, Pacers wish they were a Rotring.

      • I guess it's like people calling permanent markers either a Nikko or a Sharpie. Thanks!

      • Ahhh ic.

So like me asking for a bandaid but really should've asked for a plaster, got it!

Pacers were those crappy plastic ones right.

  • Have they got the Rollamech1000 ?

  • Aren’t these always the same price?

    • Maybe? I only got mine because it was a cheap red 0.7mm mechanical pencil. I didn't know anything about it until the earlier deal. After comparing the price just earlier it is a lot cheaper than everywhere else. It's not something that is in every store. I don't really look for pencils and the like through their website very often. Normally I'd just go and see what is in store. Maybe most people would just miss these.

    How is this compare to
Uni Kuru Toga? Rotating lead mechanism too.

    This one is much better.

I got it for around $6 delivered last year.

No deal. It’s their cheap model and not as durable or reliable as the heavier metal versions which are worth the extra for drawing/drafting professionals.

    • Once I started using metal mechanical pencils (are they still called pacers?) I couldn't go back to a plastic one. They felt so light and flimsy.

  • 0.7 is a bit thick

      0.7 in a 2B is a perfect writer/sketcher.
0.5 (or thinner) in HB is more for technical/graphical use.

    • I have a set of 0.5, 0.7 and 0.9 in Pentel P, I love writing with the 0.9 the most.

    • Love my Staedtler with 2mm, for sketching.

  • I remember I used to have a shaker.

Original Rotring's are collectables and worth a fair bit now.

I used to had a one made in West Germany, back in the days and one school kiddie stolen it. 😝

and one school kiddie stolen it.

Do you want me to return it?
