Nokia phones are about offering the best possible smartphone experience, day in and day out. It’s something we take pride in. That is why we had to make the tough choice not to offer the Android 11 software upgrade for Nokia 9 PureView. Incompatibilities between the camera and the software would have led to a compromised experience that does not meet our high standards.

Your current Nokia 9 PureView won’t change and you will continue to receive security updates. But, for those of you looking to make the jump to Android 11, we’re offering a 50% discount on Nokia XR20, or another device depending on regional availability.

We just need your email address and the IMEI number of your Nokia 9 PureView device. You can enter these in the form below. If you need help finding your IMEI number, you can find step-by-step instructions in our FAQs page.

Once we’ve validated your IMEI, we’ll send you an email with instruction on how to claim your discount. The discount is calculated from the recommended retail price when you next purchase an eligible device.

How that phone has an RRP of $879 is criminal. Barely worth the 50% off price.

    Lmao, $870 for a Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 480 5G

  • Wow, is Android 11 worth SD 480? sounds more of a downgrade

    - CPU:Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 480 5G
    - Features:8nm, Qualcomm® Kryo™ 460 CPU, Qualcomm® Adreno™ 619 GPU, Qualcomm® Spectra™ 345 ISP

Nokia started so well with their pricing and X.Y numbering. They seem to have taken a hiatus for the last 12mo, and have come back a disorganised random mess.

    • Just like the Nokia of old :(

      • as much as i liked their old numbering scheme it was eventually going to stuff us as they would reach the end of that system… ie. 7.1 -> 7.9 etc.

but still we all expected them to stuff up eventually as they always do

if you bought in the middle of the series, ie. 7.2, 8.3 you did ok

if you bought at the start, ie. 6.0 - then you F'ed up

  • love my nokia 7.2, love my nokia 8.3, but yeah moving forward not sure

  • Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice…….

If Nokia did not lock bootloader there would be third party Android 11 ROMs and probably quite a few of them.

  • Does anyone own a pureview that doesn't want to take this offer up? I'm after a cheap, well supported rugged phone and wanted a Motorola Defy 2021 but they are UK specific (ideally want to avoid grey market). Cheers JohnnyO.

    • Not sure this is on truth be told.

      • No problems I can remove it, sorry I didn't know that rule. Cheers JohnnyO
