Ozbargainer v Standard Human

Has anyone noticed in their workplace or family members show reluctance in obtaining details you recommend? I am not just talking about free deals but the deals that actually make you money.

Been recommending a lot to people at work and they are super standoffish.

Now after a few months they have realised they could of made and saved a bunch and have a sour face. Some have started to listen.

What is wrong with non ozbargainer people?

It's because you are not the influencer of the group

It's not about money or the bargain

They don't trust you as much

    • Or too good to be true must be a scam

      Ozbargain never heard of it.

I don’t think ozbargain deals make you money? Ozbargain puts my bank account in danger.

      Buy now, think later.

        And pay later ;-))

What is wrong with non ozbargainer people?

Not worrying too much about savings.

One of the guys at work I mentioned that I just refinanced my investment and getting 2.29% for 2 years at St George with awesome cashback and suggested that he do the same.

Oh I only just fixed with Westpac for 3 years at 3.8% interest only

      😐

      No words.

You need new friends and family.

haha can relate to this- many friends ask for pc part recommendations but insist on only buying from one or two particular stores
e.g. a mate bought a 3060 ti for a ridiculous price from pccasegear when it was available for almost $300 less at mwave…
some people do not like to research and will just buy whatever they like the look of.

If you are not with me, then you are my enemy.

I send OzB deals to people sometimes and they respond "That's a good deal!". I'm like yeah, that's why I sent it to you!

A friend of mine has recently built a new PC and gotten everything from PCCG. I told him if he waited a few weeks/months he could buy all the parts individually for cheaper overall like I did, but he just wanted everything at once.

That's the convenience tax for you.

Pro tip: Never tell people about the money they could have saved.

I first heard about Ozbargain from a work colleague over 10 years ago. You may need to work on your delivery.

Everybody has different passions and interests. I'm sure your colleagues and family have hobbies which they think are amazing and they tell you about but you couldn't care less.

  • +3

I don't really care if no-one wants to listen

The people who walk into GG, JB, etc and don't negotiate on price are the ones who fund our "discounts" when we go in and ask for a lower price. Same as at car dealerships. The buyer who doesn't push for a good price ends up funding part of the car that I buy.

  • Why be so concerned with others.. be happy to save your own $$ :)

I've been telling people to buy assets back in May 2021 when the bears crashed the price by -50%

They would be up +130% in only 6 months if they weren't so scared to buy the bloodbath.

Satoshi has over 1,000,000 Bitcoin in his wallets. His wallets have never been hacked since the first block was mined on Jan 3, 2009. They're protected by the safest network ever created.

Your Bitcoin will also be safe on the network.

Generally the only way people get hacked & lose funds is user ignorance/stupidity.

non-Ozbargainers are like nocoiners. They're super sceptical and miss out until you tell them how much you've made & then they get all salty "why didn't you tell me sooner" and it's like… "I DID but you weren't interested"
